I know some people dip their pizza in ranch dressing, or they run into fences because they like the rush of excitement, etc. Do you do anything weird? Just curious.

a friend heard
why would a supposedly close friend shout at you unendingly over something she did not have the patience to listen to your side of the story. would you really keep close to such a friend or befriend her with a long spoon while you watch tom see exactly why she was in a hurry to crucify you and disgrace you by shouting you down in front of people when you believe she should understand and know you better. now you initially boycott her but you really feelso small tha you actually want to not be too close to her anymore

The event has already passed, but I wanted to get some opinions from people.
They told me to dress "casual". In your mind, what does "casual" mean to you?

I am pregnant and have outgrown all my nice clothes. I also just lost my job (I told them I was pregnant and they fired me), therefore I really had no money to buy anything new. So, guess what I wore? Maternity jeans and a t-shirt.

You know what? I told them I couldn't go, but basically I was forced to go. And I had bad morning sickness that day too.

So... I get there and everyone is wearing fancy dresses! I was mortified and Pissed Off! Casual?! Yeah right! It was horrible.

Does that sound even remotely casual to you?

There is this family that moved in 9 years ago, and I will admit the parents cussed me out for no reason, and they park all their cars in front of my house causing me to park on other people's houses. As a result of their ill behavior, I do not communicate with them.

All of a sudden their son, who "seems" really nice, starts talking to me and coming up to me 3X and asking me my name, or if anyone saw who stole his car parts? I told him after 9 years you introduce yourself what gives now?
Should I regard my neighbor with suspicion because I feel funny in the pit of my stomach.

It's not that I don't want kids inside my home. The problem is they're not disciplined. I had a gathering awhile ago and my friend's kid was jumping on my sofa. I don't want to be the one to discipline the kid, I don't feel that that's my responsibility. Is it wrong for me to not want to invite my friend's kids to my home? How do I deal with the situation if it happens again? OR what's an appropriate way to let my friends know that their kids aren't invited?

I am kind of new to answers. I have asked a couple of questions just to get some advice and input only to find that most of the answers are rude, nasty and judgemental. (like the question i just asked in general pregnancy and parenting) Why do people on here judge others like they are better? Furthermore why do these people say things in their answer that they wouldn't dare say to the persons face? I mean just downright rude, nasty, people on here. Keep your negative comments, and judgemental comments to yourself. I must say i appreciate those of you that have answered any of my questions without a slick, judgemental, comment, and have given me good input on my questions. Some of your answers I have actually used, I wish there was more people like yourselves. Why can't people on answers just be positive, and actually try to help someone instead of passing judgement, and being nasty?

My boyfriend and I have been dating for over 2 years and lived together for over 1. We are both very content with our current situation and plan to get married when the time is right, I am 24 and he is 30. How do I respond when my mom and grandma ask "When are you guys getting married" or "when am I going to have a grandchild/great grandchild?" My 21 year old cousin just got married and I feel this is way too young and I don't feel I am in any rush. They say these things everytime we get together, even in front of other people and insinuate something is wrong with me for not being married by now. My mom used to defend me to my grandma, but as I get older she starts joining in too. I find these comments incredibly rude, but want to respect my family, any good responses for this uncomfortable situation?

I have to write a letter to a successful author, and I want it to look somewhat professional. I am completely opposed to writing in dark blue or black pen, as these don't express my personality at all. I know, I'm weird...

So anyway, my question is this: If you were a successful author and received a letter from a young fan, would you be charmed by the surprise of green or purple ink, or would you think of it as childish? Also, what do you think is the best color to write in that won't look silly, but isn't a dark blue or black?

I recently got terminated from this job...(oh, some bullshit about not being productive, but I think the boss just didn't like me,whatever)...but there's lady there that I kind of fancy and I suspect from the body language she's given me that she interested as well. I still want to keep in touch with her. So how can I find her without it being a stalking situation...I can't show up at the job again for obvious reasons....Any suggestions?

We recently lost someone dear and close to us. It's the beginning of the grieving process, and if you want to express condolences - thank you. Certainly, we are going to miss a beloved friend who unexpectedly, tragically died in a fatal road accident. We are praying all the time for the family and do whatever I can to help them. So when I've shared with anyone the sad news, their response to me is always "Let me know if you need anything" or "If theres anything I can do". Clearly, this is a standard phrase in our culture, to express support for somebody whos experienced a loss. Then, I had a crazy thought: "what can a person reasonably request?" I thought it could be a little fun and give a moment of levity to brainstorm that with Yahoo Answers world. (example, a request for chicken soup might be granted, not for the brand new iPhone.)

how do I deal with rude neighbors that make noise and you have to tell them over and over to be queit? Also the apartment that I live in is old and I hear them mock me through the walls for no reason, very imature I think. They are of spanish decent and speak english but talk about me in spanish because they hit the floor and walls and laugh also I cant understand what they are saying sometime when they speak in spanglish which is a mixture of spanish and english. I told the owner but they work for him. Can I file some kind of report on them?

My best friend is a very petite girl. Even though she is a wife with two kids, she can actually fit into little girls clothes if she wanted to. She has a lovely figure, but she is not really blessed in the chest department if you know what I mean. I see people make comments to her all the time about her not having any boobs. People she works with says things, people she is friends with...it's everywhere she goes. They usually say something jokingly and she usually makes a sly remark which is much more funny or she will pick something about them to pick on, but I know it really bothers her. I just wanted to see if anyone on here has had this happen to them a lot and what different things people have tried. To me, I just can't comprehend why people feel the need to point out something like that. It's just flat out rude!
