That just doesn't ring appropriate. If you feel a great need to do something, send a sympathy card to your boss' step-children, if there are any.

I agree with artist9120. Just be understanding, you never know you may need a little understandin too sometime. Know what I am saying? What comes around goes around and there is nothing wrong with just plain being nice.

My present husband did it for his ex-wife...after the family left he then laid a rose..I think the choice would be up to you..
