Should parents be held liable for controlling their kids???? Say the kid is hurt because of this, why should the place this happens be liable when they'ed be ok if the parents kept them under control???

I have two coworkers who are extremely unpleasant and feel the need to talk down to me. Forget about going to management as it will fall on deaf ears.

A co-worker, that does the same job as myself, is making more money that I am annually. We have the same education and background. We both started at the same time (about a month ago). Should I say anything to my boss? What should I say?

If you know someone else is buying, what do you typically order? The most expensive item on the menu? Or do you go light?

Obviously I would never drop it on someone who had their hands full, or a mother with little kids, or an old person. It drives me nuts, though, when people don't say "Thanks", or even give you a smile. Especially when going through double doors, I've been known to drop the doors in people's faces. What do you think- should I hold it anyway, or do they deserve it? What do you do?

I am a bridesmaid in my good friend's wedding that is coming up in October. The maid of honor asked me to host the bridal shower at my new home. I do not want to do this because the groom's family a good majority (including his mother) have been to jail, have constant problems with the law, and they aren't the classiest people. My husband and I don't socialize with these types of people due to the fact he is in law enforcement and I know my husband will get mad if I ask him.
What is an appropriate way to turn down the maid of honor's request?

My co-worker is always very sexual natured in her conversations. I would like to avoid her but thats impossible.

Its quiet most of the time b/c we work the night shift and converstations are good but...

she talks about how much her husband likes it when they use handcuffs and about what turns her on...( I won't say exactly all of what she says, its just too disturbing )..and about which porn shops creep her out and which one is the best to go to at night and in the morning ( when she gets off from work )..ewww...

ALSO..she is constantly talking about her weight loss. She repeats all of the little "cute things" her husband says...I'M TIRED AND I DO NOTCARE I DON'T KNOW ANYONE WHO DOES!! I think she exaggerates to make her self feel good.

I'm a cna and she is the charge nurse. I like talking to her but its hard to change the subject when her mind goes down the gutter. I don't want to be rude seeing that most of the time I have to be insubordinate to her. HELP ME PL

My grandmother passed away and I was absolutely appalled when my aunt pulled out her camera and told her kids to pose at the casket. How much more distasteful does it get than that? Am I overreacting or is that appalling to you too?

I worked my BUTT off for months at a thankless, dirty job where I had twice as much stuff to do as I had time, and finially, after all that time of tidying up after my slacker coworkers and slob customers, I got a promotion. I now make $8.00/hr instead of $7.90. 10 cents, wtf!? Woohoo, I can buy a Clif bar at the end of the day and have a penny left over!

Seriously though, I would like to let my boss know that I would like more money, but I don't want him to think I am ungrateful for giving me a better job. (My new coworkers make more than I do)

I have found that some people give only a few word answer, then when I've gone into more detail further down, they change their answers to include the sort of stuff I have.
Why do they do this? Is it just so their answer is closer to the top and more likely to be read and voted for?
Its just so annoying! Does anybody else find it so?

African American. I mean there not from Africa there from America. If you have to trace your roots back more than 2 generations your not African. I understand that black people were called and still are called n*****(by there own people). That shouldn't have nothing to do with it. I mean black people call white people white, soda cracker, uncle sam etc etc. So why can't white people(or any other race) call balck people black. Whats the big deal? I mean you dont' see Korean Americans, German Americans, Irish Americans, Swedish Americans etc etc.
