Obviously, your co-worker has something that you don't...most likely better negotiating skills.
I wouldn't say anything to the boss; instead, I would bust ***, work even harder, and prove with actions, not words, that you deserve to be making more.

You can ask for an equity adjustment, but in order to do so, you would have to divulge how you found out. There may be some risk to you depending on how you found out. If the other person told you, then you're fine. Just be careful because if you found out through snooping, you could be reprimanded.

Yea, go to the boss, that's right. Complain your not making enough money? That your jealous that your coworker is making more than you. You don't have all the facts, but go and complain. I am sure that will help your career and your co-worker's for discusssing pay at all.

YES!!!!!!!!!! my dad is the same way except he is in a higher level doing the exact same job as his friend and his friend makes alot more money!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
