What are people's best responses to those annoying calls...just when you're about to have dinner usually! I'm not totally unsympathetic to the callers...I used to be a telesales operator myself, but now that its me getting called I dont have much patience with them!

My new roommate doesn't wear deodorant. I think it's some sort of hardcore environmentalist/vegan statement on her part. We don't have air-conditioning in the place so the stench of B.O. just hangs in the air. I practically had to hose down the living room with Glade last night. I don't know how long I will be able to stand this. Please help!

I work in people's homes taking care of the elderly I like my job and I treat my clients very well doing everything I can to make them happy yet they still eventually snap on me and are evil and mean no matter how much I try to keep them happy. Why do you think this happens?

I recently brought my car to advanced auto and the battery actually died in the parking lot. I had two of the workers put a new battery in my car but it was close to 100 degrees outside and they had a really hard time getting the bolts lose. They were sweating like crazy and getting irritable. At first they thought they didnt have the right battery in stock for my car so the guy tried jumping my car so I could leave. This did not work but they eventually found a batttery that would work. Should I have tipped them for all the work/annoyances? I was there for 40 minutes.

After eating at a hotel's restaurant, I'm asked by the waiter if I want to bill it to my room and I agreed. I ate there 3 times and was never asked for any proof that I stay at the hotel. I'm only asked my room number.

i have joint custody with my ex and live a few miles from her and my son.because of this i have almost daily contact with my ex(text msg/email/phone) regarding my son.The problem is my ex hates my new wife(jealous) and goes out of her way to torment her and makes her feel unwelcome around our son. This pisses off my wife and she will "feed the fire" so to say meaning she will do things that she knows will piss my ex off and i'm cought in the middle. Some will say i need to stand up for my new wife but i need to think of my young son too.Yes my exwife is to blame for this(mostly) but i'm taking the high road for my son by staying out of it.Is this the best way to handle this?

I thought I was being courteous because it's hard to find people in my field around here, so I gave extra notice - but 2 weeks into it they said that I have 2 weeks to get out. Should I get angry and sabotage? (I wanted to even if I stayed) ;)

Do you sit for a while and let it dry?
Just pull up your pants and deal?
Pull 'em halfway up and waddle to the next nearest bathroom/stall?

I'm a rip-a-piece-out-of-a-magaziner myself. Anyone have any interesting alternatives?

I am going to be visiting him on my trip abroad. I'll be there for 10 days. I have something to gift him - it's expensive, and from my heart. However, am not sure if this should be given at the very beginning when I meet him, or towards the end, when we are parting. One of my concerns is, I don't want him to feel obligated to be "nicer" to me just becoz I gifted him that. Or is that a silly thought.

So how should I time this? Thoughts? Thank you guys.

I believe in the "golden rule"......treat others like how you would like to be treated.....I don't consider myself such a "nice" person, but I am fair.......I treat others with respect and kindness and I expect it back.......but there's this lady I work with that's mean to me.....I never did anything to her and I don't know what the hell her problem is but I could tell that she doesn't like me and treats me bad and very disrespectful towards me........I continue to talk normally to her because I'm not like her......in other words.....I'm not a bit_ch.....it's tempting to treat her the same way she treats me just so she can get a taste of her own medicine but I don't really want to do that because things might just get worse.......what do u think? Should I stoop to her level or just let KARMA deal with her?

Ok... here's the deal. I had like 63 friends on Myspace, and at least half, I have not even met.... There used to be a time when I added everyone who requested. Well, I started getting irritated by people who were "stalking" me... like responding within 2 minutes to anything I posted, sending me at least one message every day, asking me out, etc. I got really tired of it. Also, my ex-fiance was on my list, and I didn't really want him or any of these "stalkers" being able to see my pictures, or find out if I was dating anyone, or just anything about me...

So, about a week ago, I deleted 20 people. This included my ex-fiance's friends, people who had never even messaged/commented on my page, and the stalkers. Now, I'm getting messages from the deleted people asking why I did that... Was I totally wrong? I mean, if you're not going to hang out w/ me in person or talk to me, or message me or anything, then I think you don't need to be on my page! Any opinions???

My neighbor and I both have a fence, which has been ok, even though his fence is about 6 inches higher than mine. That was a couple years ago. Now he's building a deck that goes right next to my fence, and the fences are about 3 feet higher than the floor of the deck, so he's going to have a full view of everything on the other side of the fence, into my kitchen window etc. Can anything be done?

My friend just lost her baby - she was a few months pregnant - and the service is this evening. Are you supposed to give them a gift? or just a sympathy card? I just got married so I'm kinda broke, but I want her to know I care and I'm sorry for what she's going through.

loads of kids nowadays joke around with their mates and refer to bad things as "gay" but people still take offence to this, so is it right?

although, kids may say that it's a part of their ever growing language, and nothing harmful is meant by it .

jsut wondering what everyone's thoughts were on this issue ??
