Generally, throughout my life, I have not been very social with coworkers. Why? I think it is because of my attitude about work... I am there to WORK and not to socialize. Furthermore, I do not "chose" my coworkers, therefore the chances of having a group of people who would potentially be friends (like interests, etc.) is also less. If I want to find friends, it is generally somewhere where we are all engaged in similar, like, interests... clubs, sports, religious activities, etc.

The last real friend at my place of work moved to another state, which disappointed me greatly. But even though I considered her a friend, we actually never "went out" on the town or anything like that.

Otherwise, I am just TOOOOOO BUSY for social activities, holding down 3 jobs as I do doesn't leave much extra time for anything else but work, housework, and sleep!

I'm friendly on a "business" level, I will talk (briefly) about light, neutral topics - I avoid personal discussions about my own private affairs, or those of others in the office, yet I do not want to be viewed as aloof, so I do make an effort to be somewhat engaging while in the office. My interactions are 99% on a very positive note, and people react positively to me, and projects in which there is "team" involvement, invariably go smoothly and without conflicts. Also, I very rarely socialize with co-workers outside of the office.

I'll be honest, there is one coworker who I socialize with both in and outside of work because she and I clicked from my first day at work. The rest I am on a superficial level with because I don't trust any old person.

At work, very friendly. They are a great bunch of people and I like them all very much.

In my private life, I don't see them at all, which actually helps me keep focussed on their good points, I think.

However, as a young person I socialised with my work colleagues, and have several friends who have come from previous jobs and stayed friends over the years.

It kinda depends on the job, and the people, I guess.

Best wishes :-)

I am very friendly and approachable. I feel they are family. I do not take anything too personally. I just let go, I guess this is why my co workers have not much of an issue with me.
