1. Be yourself. Be honest. The interviewer can pick a liar out a mile away.
2. Come prepared. Check out some interview books from the library. A good book is "The Everything Interview Book." There are a lot of possible questions for interviewers and the applicants.
3. Have a list of questions to ask the interviewer after your interview.
4. Do some research on the company or the place with which you are interviewing. So, when the interviewer says, "What can you tell me about Company X?" If you are prepared, you will have some answers.
5. Smile and laugh. Have some "stories" to tell the interviewer about how you overcame obstacles and came through when things got rough.

Don't wear overpowering perfume.
Don't sit scrunched up but open, and try not to keep touching your face.
Make sure your shoes are clean and clothes are appropriate.
Remember it's your chance to shine and talk about your favourite person lol (you)
If you don't know an answer just say you don't know but will find out.
Always have fresh breath. Chew a mint before you go in.
LISTEN TO WHAT THEY'RE asking you and don't assume you know.
READ THE JOB DESCRIPTION BEFORE THE INTERVIEW and have examples of where you can match up to it within your ability. MOST IMPORTANT. That way you can make sure you fit the job. It's not always easy but you must try to do this.

A firm handshake on entering the interview. Keep eye contact where possible, smile when appropriate. Think for a couple of seconds before answering questions. Sit straight and still, with hands in lap and keep them still - no fiddling or twitching. Answer questions honestly, you'll trip yourself up if you fib! If you start to panic, deep breathe a couple of times. At the end of the interview, thank them for their time with another firm handshake.
Good luck, the interviewers are not there to trip you up! If you get really nervous, remember they are just human too, imagine them in their pants!!

make sure you smell good. Make eye contact and read your resume so it is fresh in your head. If you can't think of an answer instead of saying uh um uh pause and collect your thoughts before opening your mouth.
also if your interview is say 10:00 be there 15 minutes early it makes you look eager and ready to work. A big plus. also if you are going to need any time off in the first three months lie and say you don't need any time of in the forseeable future. then you dont look dumb when "something comes up" later. good luck! and dont forget to smile!!!

Give the interviewee a list of the questions before the actual interview so that the person can prepare. Tell the interviewee why you are in need of this interview. When the actual interview is over send the person a thank you card.

Have a couple of questions to ask them is always good. Just make sure they're not all like 'how much holiday allowance do i get?'. Ask about things like career development prospects etc - so they know (or think!) you're looking at this job in a long-term sort of way.

Know the company you're interviewing with. Google them and check out their website, so you are a little familar with them. Don't be afraid to ask questions about the company - but don't ask about days off, etc. until a job offer has been made.
Smile. Be confident but not cocky.

Make sure you memorise the application you sent in and during the interview try to refer back to the answers you gave.
