I answered the question as I would for anyone. but they once in a long while will get upset. I wonder why they asked then.

Sure, but they're not mad at the question, just your answer. I love it when people ask a question and it's so totally obvious they're looking for an answer that will validate what they want, and get totally steamed when someone offers a different viewpoint. Don't ask unless you are prepared for all sorts of answers!!!

Sometimes you have to think for a second about what a question really means before you answer. If you can tell that a person is looking for reassurance or validation, and you can reasonably give it, than that's how you should answer.

Frequently when I give someone a rude or sarcastic answer they get really upset. Huh, who knew?

All the time. They ask me what my Thor's Hammer pendant is, then they get mad at me for not believing Jesus is a god.

Some people ask what you call a loaded question they know when they ask you, there gonna blow up at the anwser, but they ask anyway. so my thoughts are give them what they ask!

That happens to me all the time at work! I feel like telling them "If you don't like my answer, don't ask me!"

i think that's because sometimes people just hope you'll tell them what they want to hear...my friends know better, if you don't want an HONEST answer, i'm not the girl to ask!
