I have had new neighbours since late october.
Now their not a problem as far as neighbours go but i do have a few niggles.
Should i tell them, because lets face it, it could be worse...
1. They have three dogs, they work all day and one of them sits and barks. Its not non stop but its annoying as you end up waiting for its next out burst. Dont get me wrong, i know dogs bark, but this isnt because something is outside or at the door, its just rythmic barking at various times of the day.
2. their bathroom is right next to my bedroom. Yes i can hear EVERYTHING that happens in there. Unfortunatly they get up alot earlier than i do, even on weekends and holidays. My young children dont even get up before them. So its banging of cupbouard doors, using and flushing the loo and so on. Then they proceed banging doors until they leave for work. Then the dog barks, lol.
So my dilema is i know their not neighbours from hell, but i would like the odd lay-in and peaceful day,

At work puting on a face..A happy positive face when really I just want to hide. I can't appear depressed because it's 'socially unacceptable' to be depressed. God! I feel so fake.

A friend of ours has a troubled background (drugs, alcohol) and is a single mother of two with no education beyond high school. She is very generous on holidays and gives people things like Oakleys, iPods, camping sets, etc. Stuff that's really expensive.

We're pretty sure she's stealing it. How can we ask her/tell her she doesn't have to impress us with this stuff?

I try not to make a habit of it and of course it does depend on how close you are to the person. My brother and I for example will just drop in on each other at any time and it is no big deal.
In fact, since we have the keys to each others places, it is not unusual for one of us to come home and find the other lounging on the couch, watching TV, drinking a beer.

But that is a special case. What about my aunt and uncle? We live in the same city, just a few miles apart. It used to bother me that I did not see them often and they never called. Once a couple of years ago when we were all having dinner with another relative, my uncle told me to come on by their house any time I felt like it. He said that I did not need an invitation. But I would prefer an invitation. Sometimes when I do drop by, like in my previous question, I feel a little bit awkward. What should I do?
Continue to drop by unannounced, call them occasionally without going over, wait for them to call me?

I can't stand when I go into a public bathroom and

a. the toilet is full ONLY because someone was to damn lazy to flush &

b. Women leave their "leftovers" behind. Also, an occassional "mercy flush" would be nice ( that's when you flush with each "deposit" to have mercy on the next one walking in. People, when using public bathrooms, take a minute to flush/wipe(seat) when through.Does this bother anyone else or am I the only one???

Mine is when the person on the speaker can't speak English. I have nothing against immigrants believe me but it really annoyes me when I'm getting late and trying to place an order and the person asks me a question and I can't understand the mumble jumble and I feel bad that they have to repeat it but it really annoys me.

I beleive that it's up to a woman to decide on their sexuality, either active or non-active. If men believe thats inmoral, I beleive that's sexism against us.

What is the etiquette for a divorce party? I am invited to one by a dear friend who is in her late 50s. The divorce was terribly painful.

I don't know if I am supposed to bring a gift, a card and, if so, what is suitable? Something wishing her well in this new phase of her life?

I searched yahoo answers and found suggestions for games, dirty jokes, etc., but that's not my style at all, or hers. I am saddened by her divorce; I have known them both for a long time and was at their wedding. I guess I have mixed feelings about the whole thing. Thanks for any advice you can offer.

Someone just knocked on my back door (which I don't like) and I didn't answer it. My blinds are sorta up so they probably saw me but I didn't answer it. Every time I used to answer the door (no matter what neighborhood) it was always some shady magazine salesperson or some other freak. One time I answered my door in an apartment (on the third floor) and this chick said her bf wasn't home downstairs and she wanted to use my phone and bathroom!!! What is wrong with people! Anyhoo... now I don't answer ever! Is that really rude of me? I'm a young woman alone in a crappy area... I don't trust anyone.

I just went to lunch. It was one of those order and the counter and go sit down places. When I walked in, I chose a table, put my book and keys on it and walked up to the counter to order. When I turned around, two guys had say down at my table, pushing my stuff aside. As I walked over, one said to the other, "these aren't your keys, are they" and I say "No, they are not" and I grabbed my stuff and walked away.

Are people really that clueless?

So I went to a local car audio shop on Friday and said I wanted subs & an amp put into my car... I asked how much he could do it for to make it sound how I wanted, and he told me $300... I still had a stock cd player in my car, and was willing to spend $500, so I told him to add that in there if he could keep it around $500. The guy ended up putting top of the line subs, amp & cd player in my car and didn't charge me on my bill at all for the subs or the sub box (I guess being a cute girl in a miniskirt does have its advantages). He called me now this morning and said his manager noticed that he didn't charge me and I would have to pay an additional $170 for the subs. I told him what I wanted my total to be and he chose to upgrade my system and not charge me. Should I suck it up and pay it or not pay it because it was his mistake not mine? I don't want to get him in trouble, but he knew what he was doing. Please help!!!
