problems saying "no" to married men?

This has been my experience of them as a social economic group for over 15 years. Tell me why without the usual negative loser comments that get made on here when anyone tells the truth as they see it.

What antiquated items of dress are no longer fashionable but could still be worn without too much hassle?

I do. But then I am rather pretentious.

It was experienced by me when I attended an interview. He asked me:-
how you manage, when myself and other superior giving the work to finish at a time, there is no department co-ordination, no priority basis, no assistants for you. How you come across this situation and do the work and give the same to two persons at a time.

A co-worker sits right in back of me and yells out to other clerks things she needs. She's always very loud and seems to want attention. I try to avoid her by always attending to my work. I just wonder if I'm sending out vibes that I'm being anti-social even though it is a work place, but of course everyone stops now and then to chat about family or gossip about other colleagues.

there's a guy here who asks slightly perverted questions. He has a specific fetish and seems to only have the account here to pleasure himself with. Is it wrong to answer his question mockingly? I was told to respond with laughter to flashers (or call them tiny).
I do admit the fact that he has a fetish doesn't bother me as it seems pretty harmless, but I just like poking fun at him. I certainly wouldn't report him since it hardly seems worth it (something I wish others would do, instead of calling in the parents)

Last Sunday, I went to a popular donut shop. It was a father's day and when I entered the shop, one of the crew greeted me with " Happy Father's day to your husband!".

What bugs me(yes, until now) is that I don't have a husband. maybe I look like I have one, it's just a wrong assumtions Whatever reasons he may have, I think it was still impolite for him to assume anything. He could have said Happy Father’s Day to my father instead. Not all women may have a husband but all of us definitely have a father.

This chick is the bosses favorite, cause she finds out everything from her. I used to socialize with the chick, but hated when I got to work on Monday morning to find out the whole office knew every minute detail of what we did on a Friday night. The chick can't stop yacking, so I stopped socializing with her, but she still makes me nauseous. Is there any way to stop her?

There are a couple of people in my office who turn to me for their financial problems. I am single. But It doesn't mean I'm not saving up for my future. I understand their income is way lower than mine (mine isn't a whopper either), but I'm afraid its becoming a habit... And I feel like they see "$$$$" written all over my face....

I'm a waitress at a diner, and I used to eat there all the time before I started working there. But now since I work there I haven't gone there once to go eat because I feel a little awkward about going there because I think it would be a little weird having someone I work with wait on me. And then when it comes time to tip should I give them more than I normally would tip because I'm making someone I work with wait on me? Or am I better off just going some where else to eat? I dunno....

It will only take 1/2 a second! Esp. if it's a unisex one or one in a house. It's ridiculous how you type long answers to why you shouldn't have to take it down.

I was walking past one of my buildings of the apartment complex I manage and she was quite audible. Her window was closed, but she was loud! Because I don't want children hearing this when they play in the area, plus I wouldn't want prospective residents hearing this should we walk by, I want to say something to her, but I don't want to embarrass her. How would you tactfully handle it?

Look, I go to the toilet and put the seat up, and after I finish I put it down, every day…for the rest of my life. My girlfriend goes there, and does her stuff and comes out. Why do I have to do all the hard work several times a day for the rest of my life?

Manners! What about mutual manners?

What about if I leave the seat down after I’ve finished and she leaves it up after she’s finished? Fair enough? Nooooooooo that is ill-mannered!

Well, I’ll tell you what. From now on I will put both the seat and the lid down so I can get some pleasure from her having to lift the lid up.

Manners or equality… Girls, please make your mind up.

Rant over

It makes no sense al all. Why ask the question if your able to identify an answer to be the best answer. If your able to identify the answer, then you already knew what you wanted the outcome of your question to be.. Or perhaps the thought was in the back of one's mind when asking the question to what they wanted to hear, which in fact only states one thing. Those people asking the questions are only looking for an excuse to continue doing what they were so confused about to begin with.

You see, instead of getting out and enjoying life, he just spends all of his time at home in front of the computer, hanging out at some lame Web site at which users can ask questions and have other users give answers and perspectives on them. He needs help, and he needs it bad. I don't see how anything good could come from a site like that. Just imagine it! Who on Earth would even create a Web site like that in the first place? What could have been going through their minds?!?

I honestly do not think there is a problem here. I am 18 and honestly cannot go anywhere without guys looking at me. I am very nice looking. I do not let it go to my head but I know that I am. My uncle, who I haven;t seen in 3 years, told me I looked hot. And not like, "Oh, you look hot dear". No, I walked out of my room to show everyone and he was like, "Oh my god, wow, You are seriously hot. I mean like on fire hot!" I asked him if he really thought so and he said if he was my age and we weren't related, I shoulkd watch out. I took it as a very flattering compliment. My mom and dad gave him a very large glare. My mom told him later she was really pissed at him. He has never flirted with me or touched me inappropriately befrore or after the compliment. He just said his peace, and myself and my guy friend agree with him. He's not a creepy uncle, just outspoken. So, what is my mom all upset about. She said it was innapropriate. I told her to knock it off. Any comments?

I dread meeting new people because my mind goes blank. I might ask/answer a few questions that I can come up with, but not knowing the person makes it extremely hard to carry on a conversation. Almost always I don't know what to say and end up averting my eyes/looking around and a big akward silence ensues.

I have noticed that some people do not have this problem, and give the appearance of having a relaxed/easy flow of conversation with people they just met.

Any tips? Thanks!

Got into a massive row at work about this today.

My position is that if you have a wedding and expect your guests to arrive with money and gifts for you and your new spouse, then you should at least have the decency to provide complimentary drinks -- ie, an open bar -- at the reception.

Your friends travel from far and wide to an event that you are hosting and to honour you and bring you gifts, and then you turn around and make them pay for their drinks???

Sorry, that is very, very tacky.

If you can't afford to throw a proper wedding, then don't. Get a judge/magistrate to do it.

Your thoughts?

My baggage from the airplane was delayed. Its been over 24 hours and its just getting to me tonight(about 8pm). This was an inconvenience and I know its not the fault of the delivery guy but is it normal to tip them still? I really dont want.

I am in college, and live on campus. Since our campus is so huge, students frequently have to rely on the campus shuttle buses to get us back and forth to our destinations. Some of the shuttle bus drivers are nice, but some of them are just downright nasty. There is a girl that lives here in my dorm who is handicap and in a weelchair, and has to rely on the buses to get her back and forth to her destination. She doesn't have a motorized wheelchair, and is often too weak to roll her own chair long distances, so she has no choice but to ride the buses. Unfortunately the drivers that drive the shuttle bus on the route she has to take, are very mean to her. They will make up excuses as to why they can't pick her up, and often lie about the lift on the bus for wheelchairs being messed up, so that they don't have to get their lazy selves out of the bus to help her wheel her chair onto the lift. She also has to be strapped in at the back of the bus so as not to fall, and this also
