My baggage from the airplane was delayed. Its been over 24 hours and its just getting to me tonight(about 8pm). This was an inconvenience and I know its not the fault of the delivery guy but is it normal to tip them still? I really dont want.

DO NOT TIP THEM.
It was the airlines fault you lost your luggage so why would you tip them for bringing it back to you.
Don't feel bad either, its not like you will ever see this guy again or anything :)

If you are that nervous that you are vomiting, you should not be induced. If the baby is fine and you are fine, then you should wait a day or two. Get more information and get some time to relax, sleep, eat some good meals (and keep them down). Induction is hard enough without (a) being an emotional wreck and (b) not having energy because you haven't been able to keep food down. IT DOESN'T MATTER that the induction has already been scheduled. IT DOESN'T MATTER if your dr. is telling you this is the next step. As long as the baby is safe and you are safe, you can put off the induction until tomorrow. HONEST. I was induced 2x because my water broke at 38 weeks and at 37 weeks and then contractions didn't start. The first induction went great -- they gave me pitocin slowly, inched it up slowly and then stopped increasing it as soon as I had good contractions. My second induction did not go so well. My dr. was out of town and on her way back, and the nurse who was assigned to me wouldn't listen to me. She gave me too much pitocin, too fast. So you need to be your own advocate and make sure that they are not doing what you cannot handle. Today, you're nervous and sick. It's NOT a good day to go into labor. Call your dr. and reschedule. Tell him/her you are sick and as long as the baby is okay, you need to wait until you are not vomiting any more. A good dr. will understand. Congrats on the baby and I hope everything goes well!

You have already paid the airline to transport your baggage and they are inconveniencing you by the delay. I know its not the fault of the delivery man but its part of the airline service to get the bags to you. There is no need to tip as well, unless he does something extra like carry it up a flight of stairs or something like that. If its at your doorstep, no tip.

Absolutely tip the delivery person. Then send an complaint to the airline for the delay. It is sad that airports and airlines put the customers through a lot of hassles and then are careless with baggage they are responsible for.

Fortunately I've never been in this situation. If the guy is really nice, you might consider tipping him a bit, but I sort of feel like the airline should have been able to get the luggage to you at the airport, so I most likely wouldn't tip him.

Hell no!

People in positions that require delivering lost/delayed luggage should be paid well by the airlines and not expect tips. That's crazy! I figure I'm doing well if I don't punch the guy in the face because it's not his fault. He's not delivering as an extra convenience to you, he's delivering because you have been severely INCONVENIENCED.

The delivery people for delayed luggage are paid for this by the airlines... certainly not by you! It is not a service you requested, it is them making things up to you. You don't pay for anything.

The airline lost my luggage once and had to deliver it to me the next day. It never entered my mind to tip. Someone said 15%, 15% of what?

If the delivery person is going out of their way, on their own time, I'd offer 'em a buck or two. (That happened to me - the guy delivered my bag on his way home - off the clock.)

No. I'm sure he gets paid to deal with pissed off people that the airline has screwed over. If he doesn't then he needs to ask for a raise.
