It was experienced by me when I attended an interview. He asked me:-
how you manage, when myself and other superior giving the work to finish at a time, there is no department co-ordination, no priority basis, no assistants for you. How you come across this situation and do the work and give the same to two persons at a time.

This is the way I have handled this before -
Get the two work assigners in the same room together, or on the phone together. Have them hash out whose work is the higher priority.
It is assumed that they both have the best interests of the company at heart, and will truly back the work that is most important.

The other acceptable answer is to tell your direct supervisor about the other work you have been assigned and get him to decide. This also alerts him that others are giving you work, which perhaps they should not be.

Good luck!

Ask the second one to asign you work if their work is more time critical than the work you already have (name the project) from (name the person).

If the answer is no, then promise to get on it as soon as the other work is done.

If the answer is yes, say ok, I'll tell (the other person) that I have to put their project on hold till this is done so that they are aware of the delay and can adjust things accordingly.

This way you have not said no, you have not been confrontational & you have not said "I'm telling on you."

Please work on your use of the English language, but I believe this is the answer you need.

Tell both superiors that each has given you work to be done by a certain time. Ask them to decide between themselves which you should do first. This is their responsibility - to work together as a company team.

I would go to the boss and ask him which took precedence and complete that project first
