how about a water balloon toss, or a raw egg relay race?

At the risk of being stereotypical you could have a clothes pin grabbing contest.
You get clothes pins and attach them to a wire clothes hanger. With one hand the ladies grab as many clothes pins without dropping any. They can only use one hand and when they drop one their turn ends. You count the pins in her hand, but not the one dropped.
The orange relay. You divide the ladies into two teams. Each gets one orange. You place the orange under your chin. The next lady has to get the orange from the first by grabbing it with her chin. If it drops, they have to pick it up and put it back under the first lady's chin. The winning team passes it down the line the fastest.
Or the egg balance relay. You put an egg on a teaspoon. Each team has to run to a point and back with the egg on a spoon, then pass to the next lady.
Or you make an obstacle course and each lady has to carry and egg on a spoon through the course without dropping it. You time them with a stop watch and the best time wins.

Plant some grass, grow a football field and then play full contact football men only and tell the women to cheerlead on the sidelines only after putting out plates of buffalo wings and Coors light.

what is more fun than a 3 legged race, and you can even joke and say no men allowed cause it would be a 4 legged race

Bean bag toss, lawn darts, dirt bowling,(similar to lawn bowling)
hopscotch, free throw.
