Why do people call you a MUG when you enter a chat room and say hi to everyone? What does that mean? Is their a website where list shortcut terms like... IDK - I don't know or BFF- Best Friend Forever

your name has M and G in it. Do you use this same name in a chat room?
Maybe they call you MUG for short, and only call YOU mug, not everyone else.

could it possibly be the icon next to your name, many chat programs show cups or mugs next to the name of people who come into a room with the "away" choice made.

Maybe you should ask the person who called you it. It could mean a few different things.
