A question is a question at that, and is meant to be answered. An asker needs/wants an answer to his/her question. The problem with some answerers is they get too defensive and they make an issue out of a question. Common sense dictates that "what is uncalled-for" should not be given.

What unit of time did the Chinese use before they adopted the system of 24 hours, 60 minutes and 60 seconds?

Apparently, this question was really offensive because someone reported this and it was removed.

There was an interesting answer to the system that they used, but now it's gone because someone got offended.

Is it just me or is this question really that offensive?

Don't you hate it when harmless questions get removed?

How can Izzie fall in love with George, aka another woman's husband? How in the world does a mistress justify stealing another woman's life, family & husband? Its disgusting. Its not fair. The damage that a family sustains is irreversible. Adulterers should be put in jail. Ok. I'm done now so you can start screaming.

As I was riding by on the hospitals today I saw a man sitting out in his robe with his portable IV holder. He was actually ono the sidewalk area sitting on the bench area around the hospital. I think this is gross and I have seen it before. When I was in the hospital I stayed in bed in my room. This was when I had my baby years ago and although I was ok to get up, I didn't think it was in good taste to walk around after all I looked hideous. I did not go out even into the hall area, that's just gross. Sick people should stay in their hospital rooms in bed, not be walking around outside in public. Yuck

A fellow teacher of mine is doing a portfolio and needs a recommendation letter from everyone on staff. The problem is, I don't work closely with her at all. I've never seen her teach or interact with the children; basically all I've seen of her is at the staff meetings. How can I write her a letter of recommendation??? What should I include? How can I be general yet sound sincere?

you've ever done as a kid? Here is mine:

I used to eat dirt, my own ear wax and of course, my own BOOGERS!!

(The look on your face right now is probably priceless!)

Quick story, and this is gross: I used to think my boogers were so good when I was a kid and I couldn't understand why my grandmother always scolded me. So on the way back to my own house with my family, I vividly remember asking my big sister, "Val, how come Grandma doesn't like boogers?"

True Story. Please Share.

For example my friend who is in a wheelchair has a assitant. Well my other friend during lunch was sitting too close to the assitant. I noticed his leg was feeling her butt and I had to move over because I was disgusted by it. He is really crazy and acts like a 12 year old when he is a freshman in high school.

I had a client at our venue (I work for a hotel) who was held to a $8,000 minimum. They didn't hit it with sales the night of their event and paid $3,000. They have been sending emails asking for us to give back the money.

Instead, we offered them a minimum free event instead. They mocked the offer.

It was a non-profit but they were responsible to uphold the details of the contract right? However, they have made some unprofessional comments trying to wiggle out and my manager had me tell them we take back our "free event" offer.

Were we in the right?

Dear Sir/Madam,

I am writing to you concerning charges on my account.

I have been overdrawn once last month by £5.00 and was aware of it, so I made a payment of £35.00 straight away after being overdraft, thinking that this money will be taken by you, in order to repay my overdraft charge, and so was I told.

At my surprise, I went to my local branch (Kilburn high road) and deposit £70.00 but it has all been taken and I still had to pay £25.00.
I went to speak to a bank representative and they have explained that I have been charged £95.00 for being overdraft, and that the £35.00 I have paid in last month had not been taken at the time, and they kept charging me for that!

Now, how was I supposed to know that you do not take the money until the following month? As I was unaware of this, I find it unfair for you to charge me £95.00 for being overdraft by £5.00.

This was a very calculated act that took time...Employee that unscrews bolts in conference table at work -

Our conference table collapsed on us during a meeting. Luckily no one was really injured although one woman had it land on her knee.

It was a calculated act as the table grew more and more wobbly with each meeting until it finally collapsed - now they use the "good" half for meetings!

We have suspicision that one of our very passive aggressive employees did this, so I approached him to day about it, and he outright admitted it, laughed and said he was proud of it!

Now, I'm really concerned. What is he capable of doing next?

Should I be concerned or sit back with popcorn and wait?
