What unit of time did the Chinese use before they adopted the system of 24 hours, 60 minutes and 60 seconds?
Apparently, this question was really offensive because someone reported this and it was removed.
There was an interesting answer to the system that they used, but now it's gone because someone got offended.
Is it just me or is this question really that offensive?
Don't you hate it when harmless questions get removed?

No, it was not a joke. It was a serious historical question.

That's ridiculous; the only thing I can think of is that maybe it was in the wrong category. But it's definitely not offensive!
I've seen examples of this before, questions and answers being removed when there's truly nothing wrong with them. See also the answerer above who said it was fine to send flowers. NO ONE can claim THAT is offensive! I think some people just report these questions and answers for fun, and of course the Yahoo!Answer folks get loads and loads of abuse reports... some may be a bit hasty in deleting everything that's reported, or it could even be an accident, clicking 'okay' instead of 'cancel' (or whatever it says on their buttons) when they're rushing to read dozens and dozens of these abuse reports. I remember I've clicked the wrong 'thumbs' at least twice, why couldn't a Y!A employee click the wrong thing sometimes...

It's not offensive at all. But like someone else said, people take offense at anything, especially if you mention a race of some kind. Then there are the people who get offended if you don't take offense.
Personally, I think tolerance is the answer. Tolerance of questions. Answers. Differences. Opinions. And most of all, we need to be tolerant that other people may not have the same perspective or outlook or experiences that we've had.
It's a diverse world, but on some level we're really very much alike more than we are different.
Keep asking questions. Yours was not offensive at all.

It's not offensive.
Chinese uses a 12 units system for hours. (Each unit is 2 hours.) There are smaller units .. I know them in Chinese, but not in English.
It is a pretty good history question.

I desire that couples be a splash constrained of their affection in public. retaining arms and a rapid kiss is effective. I admit that my selection is egocentric. i'm bisexual and that i don't sense comfortable doing something greater with a guy in public than I do if i'm with a woman. I additionally choose to circumvent doing issues that i could locate disgusting if my grandparents did in public. I purely think of an identical regulations could desire to stay with for each individual and not which you will make out all you like in case you look as though Barbie and Ken and human beings can no longer.

Could it have been posted under the wrong category? A question about an historical event is a fact-seeking query and not offensive.

I know what you mean. I get reported for asking any question that mentions another race even if it is a factual thing like the affects of sun on different skin colors

I am horrobly offended, to assume such a thing. You must be an evil person, or have been brainwashed by evil people. I must report this so no one else can see such vile filth.
I hate sensorship.

I am sorry that happened to you. There is nothing offensive about the question. if "Answers" had read it they shouldn't have removed it. I am thinking they did not even read your question.

Yes I do. I had one of my answers removed. The question was this: Would it be appropriate to send flowers to my ex boss because his mother just died? And I answered: That would be fine. And they removed my answer saying that it was abusive.
