I have a friend who, every time he sees me, screams out "Waazzzz Uuuup?" I mean every time. It gets very annoying. Another friend, when she talks to you, ends every sentence with "You understand me?" You understand me? Bugs the hell out of me.

This guy asked me to prom, but I really don't want to go. He's a senior and I'm a couple years younger. I barely even know him (like a stranger) and I have barely even spoke to him. The only thing that's holding me back is because I feel bad for him because I know it's his senior prom..and he doesn't have anyone to go with.

I just wanted to chill with my friends next weekend, but they aren't going to the prom either, so if I do go, I'll probably be a loner with this stranger. I know this would be a good deed if I accepted...but i don't really want to. what should I do??

I have had this happen quite often of late on the FL I 4. I always try and extend extra courtesy to truck drivers. Meaning I know they need extra room can't stop on a dime always blink my intentions allow room for them to change lanes etc. Of late I have had truck drivers flash their head lights (during the day) after I pass. I asked the DH to follow me once thinking maybe a car issue they were trying to warn me about. The last thing I ever want to do is be inconsiderate to these men and women on the road.

We have nieghbours who have religious meetings at their house often. The problem is that quite often these meetings go on very late, after 10pm at night. Sometimes they still have people coming and going til 1am. They are very noisy. We have asked them to keep the noise down after 10pm, as the law states, but so far they are not taking much notice. most of the noise stems from them sitting in an area of their garden that is right under out bedroom windows and talking , shouting and laughing really loudly. I would call the police but because there is no loud music im afraid they might not take the complaint seriously.
We are getting really sick of being kept awake half the night but still having to get up at 4.45am for work.
Any suggestions?

I went out a few weekends ago with my girls for a celebration & we met up with a guy friend of mine after a few hours. He wanted to meet since it had been months that we last saw each other & said that when we'd meet up, he would give us comps & take us to their best bar for a few drinks (on him). So when we did meet up and I introduced my friends to him, we went into one of the lounge and he went ahead of us and tried to get in first. He didn't even wait for us to finish getting ID'd, he just went straight to the bar, got himself a drink and downed it right when the rest of us got in. We joined him at the bar thinking that he would ask what we wanted to drink (since earlier that day he said he would buy the drinks) and he ordered himself another one and drank it right in front of us without even asking if we wanted a drink. I ended up buying 2 rounds for all of us in the end. Now he wants to join us again this weekend, but my friends don't want him around. What's your take on him?

I have been friends with "R" for 10 years now. The past couple of years, I notice I only hear from her when it requires me spending money. She invites me to her Tupperware parties, jewelry parties, Mark Kay parties, Candle parties, her four kids' birthdays, etc. I just got an invite to her bridal shower. She even e-mailed me to ask me if I was coming to her shower. (Not to mention she left me a voicemail a month ago to give me a heads up!) What should I do?

This sunday was my birthday. I got a very nice gift from a friend. However I was busy all day on that day. Then next morning I found out a friend of mine passed away few days earlier. So I was devasted.

So I tried my best to show my friend how much I appericate the gift. I cooked a scone for him and emailed him a thank you note and explained him I may be a bit down because my friend passed away.

Tonight I got a angry email from him becuase I didn't express my apperication enough and complain about how I forgot he doesn't eat bread.

This really pissed me off. He know I would be busy on my b-day. Then I found out my friend die the very next morning. Should I return the gift? What should I do?

umm ok I kinda like my coworker(well call him Mike)... and I think he seems interested... ya know he teases me and all, and I do the same... some things guys will do if they like you. Also, we sometimes talk in double entandras. Well, yesterday, I asked my other coworker(whos also a guy) that sits next to me (well call him Al) where my other coworker was that day, because he wasnt there and hes scheduled that day. He said he took the day off and then jokingly said that at work Mike is wherever I could be found and that he had the hots for me. And I was like yeah right.. and Al was like Im sure he does. Well now I think Al likes me too because he jokes around now with me and has begun teasing me and outing other guys that supposedly like me. Well I just dont know, do Al and Mike both like me?? Im just confused.

I mean will you wear a bra when you're going outdoors like shopping or at college .Actually, my sister got really big ones [ I think they are J-cups or even bigger ] she is never wears a bra when going outdoors and it looks a bit silly when people stare at her boobs, I don't even want to accompany her when she is going outdoors. I think she is never really comfortable with wearing bras, I can't even ask her about his boobs but can someone give me a good advice so that my Mum or Dad can have a good word with her .......

I have many unresolved issues with my roommate, but the main one is how to get her to do the dishes. I have done the dishes the last 3-4 X in a row. She has had of work both saturday and sunday this week and she didn't bother to do them. I ate out almost every day last week and she didn't so why should I have to do dishes that aren't mine. Does anybody have any good ideas or suggestions?

Ok, I'm questioning something about myself. I have a tendency to let people say when, and where, and what. Like I tell my friend we should go out and I want her to choose or let her choose but she always puts it back on me and I feel like I am always deciding where to go. If we are going to meet somewhere I say ok well whatever time is fine with me i'll be free all day. She will say ok but WHAT TIME....I have a hard time putting a time because then I feel bossy. Like we are going to the movies watching this, and at 10:00. Is it ok for me to do that and me make the decision or let them make the decision? and not just friends in general when they say what time do you want the appointment...I say whatever time is fine with me. Is it bad to do that and should I stop and be more specific? Pick the time and day and everything?

In the restaurant atmosphere, is it legal for an employer to tell it's chef/cook not to wear facial hair while working? Just like making waitresses put their hair up or cook's to wear hair nets.

My boss took an extremely rude tone with me today in front of a co-worker. When I confronted her about it later she explained that she was in a bad mood and didn't have to apologize for her "bad mood" or condesending tone. "Everyone is allowed to be in a bad mood".

Is this professionally acceptable? Am I over-reacting?

So I'm wondering what, if any, is the appropriate etiquette/response in this situation:

I was playing golf with a few friends. After we finished, we were going to go get dinner, and I had invited my girlfriend along. My friends and I decided that we would swing by my apartment, giving them a chance to play with our dog for a few minutes, pick up my girlfriend there, and then all go out to dinner.

However, my girlfriend was adamant that my friends couldn't come in. She said the apartment was too dirty. I thought it looked fine. Instead, my friends waited outside for a while.

She says that I should have to give her "adequate" notice. I called 10 minutes before we got there. More importantly, since I'm paying half the rent, and it's my apartment too, I think I should be able to have friends over whenever.

So... after this long narrative - advice? Do I have to give notice? Do I have a right to have people over at any time?

Some customers -- whites and Asians alike -- throw their money at me instead of handing it to me, but they expect me to hand them their change. Is it because I am black? Some never reply or look my way whenever I say "Hi..." or "have a nice day." Why?

Last Wednesday my auntie invited me out to eat at a Japanese restaurant for her son's 18th birthday dinner. Though Japanese food is far from my choice of foods, I went to the restaurant at the reservation time, and ordered one of the cheapest dinners on the menu. When the check came, it was sub-totaled for everyone there, and she hit me up for my part of the bill. Was that tacky and rude?
