I love very hot, spicy foods, and I always cook that way at home. Is it OK to take that kind of thing to a potluck? Thanks.

The short version of the story is I went to go pay for my food and since you cant see in the box, you just tell the guy checking you out what you have. So I go "Potatoes and 3 bacon links and 1 sausage link" and he goes...."open it" and I go...what you dont believe me? and he goes...."I can look at some people and tell they are lying" and I go... " You know what, keep your f*cking food! and threw the box of food at him, it went all over the floor. He will know I was telling the truth later on when he is cleaning it up!

Should I seek help or was this justified?

This is a one way discussion about who really rules yahoo answers- people who give opinions from their heart, or people who give a wikipedia answer. I think the robot answer makes things uninteresting.

I know that you don't have to tip at all if you don't want to, but I'm a pretty good tipper. Thing is....do you tip certain people at times like these....say, the carhops at Sonic...or the restaurant if you order take out & come pick it up? Do you tip them at all?

I recently had a female coworker leave the company. We were friends when she worked with me. When she left, I asked her to keep in touch. She said I should email her if I ever felt like getting together for lunch. We are both married. My question is this;
am I supposed to wait for her to email me when she's available for lunch, or am I supposed to email her over and over, seeing if she wants to get together? If I don't email her, I don't want her to think that I blew her off. But I would feel like a pest if I kept emailing her... What does etiquette say about this?

I don't really like kids, am I a heartless person? My nephew comes here every week-end sometimes I'm nice to him but mostly I don't talk to him or play with him.. I feel rude but I can't help it. My mom tries to keep him away from me cos I tell her I hate noise and don't want to be disturbed, so she tries to keep him away cos I tell her to. But sometimes I play with him a lot but that's only when I'm REALLY in a great mood. Otherwise I stay quiet and annoyed. I do want to change but I can't help it.. I just don't like kids, I do like babies but I don't like when kids make noise, my nephew is really intelligent though he doesn't make much noise and is very clean, but still.. I'm just like that. Am I heartless, rude? Or is it normal? I'm 18 by the way..

I have a several guy friends and I often talk with them online and something has been bothering me a lot. They all keep asking if I have a boyfriend. (Note: Some of these guys already have girlfriends) I tell them no and then they respond 'why'. I tell them I don't want to talk about it. Then they keep pressuring me about it and they get angry I don't tell them why. (its none of their bussiness) Is this normal guy behavior? And how do I polietly tell them its none of their bussiness, I just don't? (Like if you got out of a relationship and don't want one)

and I don't even remember what they were advertising. It had women who were probably size 14 or so dancing around in their underwear. It ended by saying "Because we're not all size 2 supermodels".

People would be outraged if size 2 women were in a commercial that said "Because we're not all size 14".

I get tired of people assuming that people who are size 2 starve themselves and that being a size 14 is better or healthier.

I am proud to say I am a size 2. I eat plenty of food. I make healthy choices and I exercise. I don't appreciate comments like that.

I was going to bring wine. I was told to bring apps instead. Should I bring his wife a hostess gift too? She is about 34 years old. Any ideas of what is appropriate? I was thinking candles?? Seems generic though.
Thanks for any help!

I wonder if it has any meaning or they wear it just because they find it trendy. I have never seen such in my country but it seems common in English-speaking countries.

I moved into a flat 5 months ago and while everyone else in the building has been really nice an we've made friends, the only person who hasn't is this guy who has been nothing but nasty to me from the first time I saw him. He has never even said "Hi my name is Stuart" just lays right into me, firstly I once left a bag of clothes I was donating to charity (and they were collecting that day) in the hallway tucked under the mail shelf. The next time was because he didn't like fairy lights I'd put up round my door (the lights in my part of the hallway leave something to be desired) and my door mat. So I cleaned the whole communal hallway, hoovered everything, changed my door mat but left my lights seeing as I and the other tenants liked them. Then this morning at 3AM I was woken up by hearing him attack my front door twice, and by how far up the stairs he went I know it was him for sure. What do I do now? Do i leave it and say nothing? Call the police? Confront him? Vandalise his? :)

My boyfriend and I are going to a new trendy restuarant for dinner with another couple tomorrow night. (we are in our mid-20's) I'm not sure what to wear. This restuarant is located near an Ivy League University in a pretty hip city. I want to be comfortable, yet trendy. Heels are not a problem. However, I'm currently in the middle of losing some much needed weight. I lose a little more each week, but I don't like clothing that is too tight around my middle/stomach area. I'm not ready for that type of clothing. I also want clothing that I can still wear if I lose another 5-10 pounds.

I am going to have to buy something new, b/c I don't have any trendy, sophistated clothes. My old clothes don't fit and I don't have any friends in my size range to borrow from.

Ideas? I want to look cute, sexy, sophistated and trendy b/c the other couple is always dressed very well.

Camel toe is when a woman's pants are so tight that you can clearly see the lips of her vagina outlined in them.

My boyfriend invited me to dinner with his mother, aunt and uncle tonight. It's nothing too fancy. It's a bar / restaurant (but almost gourmet food believe it or not). Getting off the phone he said "don't forget to dress for dinner". What does that mean? What should I wear? Can I wear jeans? Help me please!!!

I work in a large office and there's always someone that takes a dump in the toilet. Surely, this should be banned under the Health and Safety at Work Act. Don't some people have khazis at home?! That's what you go to work for - so you can afford to buy your own place with its own toilet so that you can take a morning dump in peace and enjoy it BEFORE you leave for work! Work toilets should be for peeing only! No 'bombing the base' at work and stinking the place out so that other poor souls have to don a gas mask every time they go for a simple pee!! (I'm a bloke by the way - don't know if the ladies are guilty of the same crime! Would be interesting to hear the ladies views on this!)

I work in Admissions so I have lots of walk-ins, but lots of phone calls. I think it's rude to stop talking to the people in front of me to answer the phone, so I usually let the phone go to voicemail. But do the people in FRONT of me think it's rude I don't answer my phone?? I want to do what's polite all the way around...which is right?
