Mostly just the family showers. If the girls at work are throwing you a shower, grandparents and mothers, etc.. should not have to go to it. My wife's co-workers put together a shower for her, and it was just her work friends. She had a separate one with friends and family

YOU aren't supposed to invite ANYONE to a shower being held for you! All you're supposed to do is act surprised and thrilled that someone cares enough about you to honour you with the shower!

But your bridesmaids and mother and grandmother CAN be invited to these events, however they don't have to be if it is for a certain group (such as coworkers, team members, etc) only. But please don't be offended if these people can't attend multiple showers, or just bring a 'token' gift to some of them.

If it is a work shower, then no. they should just invite the ladies you work with. If your bridesmaids are throwing a shower it is their duty to make sure everyone involved with wedding (mothers, grandmothers, aunts, etc) are invited. They should also invite your friends.

You probably don't need to invite them to all the showers. That can get expensive. However, you can ask them if they would like to come (and not bring gifts)?

I'm pretty sure that I'd only wanted to be invited to one shower.

if the shower is at work, you don't have to, if you want to invite them ask the girls who are throwing it if it's ok first.
