For instance, I am madly in love with a severely mentally ill woman. She's everything I've ever wanted in someone, except she's bipolar and she's very unbalanced. None of her meds seem to work, and when she goes on an emotional rollercoaster she takes me with her. She's always depended on me to be her "rock" when she's having a meltdown, and I've TRIED to be strong for her, but I've realized lately that I'm only in love with her when she's "normal". I don't want to have conditional love for this woman, but that's what it's starting to feel like. I just can't play "therapist" anymore. What's the best way to tell her how I feel without coming across as rude?

Public restrooms mount the toliet paper dispensers too low. It is impossible to sit straight because there is no room for your right leg. Basically the only way you can take care of business is to squat on a 45 degree angle.

My so-called friend and I had a belching contest today. The loser buys lunch.

His effort wasn't what I would call loud or long by any stretch - an average burp at best.

With my effort, however, I managed to stop the choir's singing and got thrown out of the service by the priest.

My "friend" still refuses to buy me lunch.

I am American and I have completely fallen in love with a Dutch woman. She likes traditions and it is important to her that I eat with proper manners. Is there any particularly special or customary way to ask her to marry me? Just say it? Romantic setting? Discuss it? We will be in the Netherlands at the time and near her family if that helps. Thank you!

About 85% of the jobs I have been applying for are through recruiters. Since I have yet to find a job that I match 100% I seem to get dumped alot. I have even had some recruiters pretty much hang up if I answer a question the wrong way.
How do I get past the black and white of it all and let my grey areas shine so I can get through to a person to person interview?

It sounds like there is a marching band outside our window. We've tried everything from a fan to earplugs but nothing works. Should we go over there and ask them to take the windchimes down? I'm tempted to turn on the radio and leave it outside all night so they understand how rude windchimes are. Not everyone enjoys the sound of clanging pans ALL NIGHT LONG!! I need advice...

Some of my peers are total confidence machines and Im having a problem. A lot of the time, they can really put down something that I like and I am really bad at defending it and eventually, Im so sensitive and stupid that I actually end up listening to them.

4eg a (very fashionable) frien came ovr to my house and got a free tour of my wardrobe. She looked at it and made a negative remark about my sporty/athletic clothes. Personally , I rly lykd my athletic style and I didn't give a crap about fashion. But she just managed to affect me. I forgot to mention that this particular friend is also good at promoting her opinion and spreading it. The first few times, I tried to make it clear that I like this better, but her self-confidence and grace somehow easily managed to beat mine and I ended up being affected by it and for a couple of months. I feel like such an insecure loser. I have deal with stuff all the time. I rly wanna kno how to deal with them the way this girl does

Other than dressing up like a nun and chasing them with a stick, what are some ideas to deal with a problem child in a youth group at church? She's threatened suicide and has cut herself and showed some of the people in our youth group, acting like she was proud. She wants a lot of attention, but she is also very rude to people when they give her some.

Two days ago my son and his fiance and two daughters moved a couple of blocks from my house. My son came over last night and told me to stop by to see the place and left. I don't feel this to be a welcome invitation. His fiance spent the weekend in my house two weeks ago and disrespected me in my own home. I am still very upset with her after the hospitality I gave her and their two daughters ages one and six yrs old. How dare she. Should I wait to be formally invited? Or should I talk to her about our disagreement? or should I just leave it alone and mind my own business? I don't feel comfortable visiting them after the way she treated me at my house. Please what do you think is the right thing to do? I am a very flexible person and I dont harbour resentments. I just feel that I shouldn't have to kiss up to her. Thank you.

We have a person at our church that interrupts, yells outs, insults, acts "emo", and is very attention seeking. We've tried to help her out, but she just seems to act the same, to get more attention. She even went as far as to make a suicide threat at church. She has ended up driving people away from our youth group.

I am working towards my goals, ambitions, career interests, hobbies and lifestyle......what ever you may call that..There are still some inherent obstacles from family/friends/nature etc...so many hindrances. Infact, we have to struggle to get what we want. Why should we struggle when i am genuinely interested in doing something, working toward s it and when i definitely can wait for the normal it may take to achieve the same?

I dont get it. Why invite people to dinner if they have to bring an users manual to decipher the usage of the various cutlery. The other day I was at this place with silverware lined up six deep and an assortment of sauces and napkins. The fish was hell of bony, so I dug in with my fingers (less work for the dishwasher). Most of the folks seemed to be playing "follow the leader" and pretending to know what they were doing. The only folks comfortable with the gizmos seemed to be the old folks who must have picked it up from the boring TV channels in a retirement home. However, when I dug in my folks pretended not to notice but the other tables gasped as if watching Venus undress and smeared their eyebrows with tartar sauce in an effort to shield their eyes from the horrifying sight. Is there anyway of eating a bony fish properly without having to knit a sweater with ones fork. I see these same fellows drink wine out of a plastic cup outside. What a deal.

Hi. I work in a bar restaurant and have 4 managers. I do my job well and to the best of my ability. The one manager just seems to take every opportunity to pick apart everything I do instead of offering costructive instructions, and even takes a few personal shots at me.
Overall, I like this job and my coworkers, so what is the best way to suck it up sand deal with this guy? thanks!

We split up about 5 months ago, I'm with a new guy now but I still have the engagement ring. I don't wear it obviously and when we split up I tried to give it back to my ex and he said " I could never take that, it was and is a symbol of my love for you so I would never sell it or give it to anyone else". I thought that was really sweet so I did keep it. BUT a few months later, he asked for it back to "hold onto it, in case we get back together and I want to propose again." So what to do? Keep the ring (it's geeee-orgeous!!!), sell the ring and travel the world, or return the ring?
(keep in mind too that I suppoorted him for the last year we were together and he still owes me about $2000.00)
