I am American and I have completely fallen in love with a Dutch woman. She likes traditions and it is important to her that I eat with proper manners. Is there any particularly special or customary way to ask her to marry me? Just say it? Romantic setting? Discuss it? We will be in the Netherlands at the time and near her family if that helps. Thank you!

Whereabouts in The Netherlands will you be? There's quite a few romantic restaurants in Amsterdam if you're near there. Just ask; I'm from there. Basically, the traditions are the same in America as in The Netherlands: get down on one knee, look smitten and produce the ring. :)
"Zou je met me willen trouwen?" should do it....
Congrats and Good luck!

If she really likes tradition, you first have to visit her father and ask him for her hand. When he says you may, you can ask her. The way you do it is up to you.
Don't discuss it, just ask her!!
And if you want to ask her in Dutch:
'Wil je met me trouwen?'

Congrats (well I hope she says yes) and good luck!
