My so-called friend and I had a belching contest today. The loser buys lunch.

His effort wasn't what I would call loud or long by any stretch - an average burp at best.

With my effort, however, I managed to stop the choir's singing and got thrown out of the service by the priest.

My "friend" still refuses to buy me lunch.

Learn from this lesson, don't have any contest with him in the future. He is a sore loser.

Your mistake was to have a contest without a judge.
