I have no problem at all tipping people for good service, but who and/or when to tip sometimes in confusing for me. For example, the dog groomer? The person who delivers groceries? If a hairdresser cuts my hair for 10 bucks, then is a two dollar tip cheap?

My last ? was about the dropping of the letter S from words by African Americans. I am also a black person and was tought to speak proper English. If English is your native language there is no reasonable excuse for speaking it badly unless you have had a limited amount of Education.
The ? was not mean't to be racist.

I live in a 3-bedroom shared apartment, & we all have our own lease. Last night, I went in my room, & she saw my clean clothes in a box (she didn't even give me a chance to fold them up yet because I had just washed them) & she said, "Look @ your room! You see all those clothes unfolded in that box? I don't like that."

I have Tourette's Syndrome, & it was very hard for me to bite my tongue, & I called her a stupid B. under my breath. I'm the only one who has to live in my room. I was going to fold the clothes, but she upset me so badly that I felt depressed & couldn't. Why can't people just mind their own business? & then, she said NO TRESSPASSING in her room, & so to get even with her, I went in her room, as she did to me, & I told her, "I don't like your room smelling like piss because of your cats! Now how about that one? You know it's against the rules & the lease to have cats!"

I have a neighbor that occasionally comes over to talk. Usually she's talking about her frustrations over some things. I have a job and recently I thought I would save a little time by multi-tasking by doing a few things within earshot of her while we talk, such as fold some laundry or start supper. Well, she keeps asking if I'm bothering her. She's not bothering me at all. But I'm wondering now if I'm being rude?

I usually wears jeans and a t- shirt and sometimes a t- shirt with a botton up shirt left unbottoned or only partley bottoned so people can see the cool picture. my step mom (actually not yet just my dad's girl friend) wears usually 2 shirts and a sweater. But then when she gets warm she opens the front door which makes me cold. should I be the one to have to go get a nother shirt or sweater or something? Or should she take here sweater off? It currently is only about 40 degrees out side.

Ever kept your lunch in the company cafeteria, worked like a dog, put up with the surly looks of a demanding boss, got called at work by a divorce lawyer and collection agencies and then went to lunch and found your chow missing. This is serious disrespect and worse than Grand Larceny. Why kick a working man in the gut when he is already down. So to take care of business I smeared a peanut butter sandwich with my nephew's diaper leftovers and liberally coated it with fragrant marmlade to disguise the foul odor of my nephews discharge and placed the masterpiece in the company fridge. Come lunch time, there was a horrifying shriek in the cafe as the pilferer ran to the restroom in front of other workers and started rinsing mouth profusely like he had just bitten a skunk's tail. Management is investigating the matter and the bread spread has been sent for DNA analysis. Not that my nephew works in the company, and I doubt I share many genes with him. Should I fess up or stay mum ?

Why is it that when you are at the grocery store, (or any store really) that people think it's ok to be rude? Everytime I go to the store I run across some person who thinks it's ok to push my cart out of the way with my baby in it, but don't ask me to move it. Run into my cart with their own. Take clearenced items out of my hands when I am looking at them (this is true, it happened at Target, she said, "Let me see that!") Bump into you without saying excuse me. Make a smart *** comment if you forget to to put the divider on the register. I mean what is going on? As a society have we forgotten the tried and true "You get more bees with honey than vinager?" I always try to be nice because I totally believe in karma. I guess my question is: Are people just mean and rude in this day and age?

My daughter has just recovered from fever being hospitalized for 2 weeks for being anemic due to high fever. after she started going to school the driver is behaving rudely. She scolds her for not standing on the bus stop before 5 minits of the bus arrival time. Since she is weak we take her to the bus stop in the car and let her wait for the bus in the car, but the bus driver objects. We requested to give her some time but she said no. She is not going to pick her up and actually did not pick her up even if we followed the bus till the next bus stop. When we said we are going to complain she showed no fear and said her name is sharon and if u want i will give you the number. Now we complaint the principal of the school. But we are still upset. Where else can we complain.

I am sorry that I was unable to return your voicemail, I was out for a death in the family. Thank you for following up with an email.

The next paragraph goes on about the job. Should I acknowledge the death in her family or just say that I am interested or both? I don't know this woman so I don't want to get too personal. I need to reply to the e-mail fairly quickly. Help, what should I write back to her?

My sister-in-law and I were pregnant at the same time, due about 4 weeks apart (girls were actually born 3 days apart). Anyway, at my baby shower, she brought out her sonogram pictures to show everyone to see if people could figure out if she was having a boy or girl. I understand, some women might have them in their purse, but I thought it was a little "look-at-me look-at-me" to bust them out to talk to guests at my shower about her sonogram pictures. Our daughters are a little over two now, but I just found this out in the past couple of days. I'm not going to say anything to her, but am I wrong to think that was kind of selfish? I've never been the type to say anything like "today is MY day" or anything like that. For example, I really wouldn't care of she had announced her pregnancy during my birthday dinner or something, but this kind of irks me.
