Have you met your friend before? If not, this would not work. If you live at home, make sure you've discussed this with your parents.

Ask your friend exactly like you asked us.

Dear __(friends name)__,

I would love for you to come and visit us. It has been such a long time since we were able to hang out. I know you are on holiday right now and was hoping you might be able to come to Canada to visit me during your holiday.

I know the flight is rather expensive, but when you get here, you could stay with me the whole time. I would enjoy having you here and you would not have the additional cost of a hotel.

There are many things we could do here. (Depending on where in Canada you live, you have to come up with your own list on what there is to see or do) I know it would be an enjoyable holiday for you. Canada is such a beautiful country.

I would love to see you again soon. Please let me know as soon as you can if you will be able to visit me. I hope you will be able to visit. I can't wait to hear from you soon.
