while i appreciate how pondlife and soren and others feel about the yahoo violation system, i cannot agree with their method of repeated posting by way of protest.
its boring for those of us that just want to hang out without being caught up in the politics!
is yahoo answers really this important?

Please consider this though. I have been targeted and I will be deleted along with many others. What is to stop it happeing to you ?

That is not a threat, it is a serious question. How would you feel if
18 consecutive questions were deleted from you account and the next thing that happened was your account was suspended, and email was closed. There appears to be no return from that place.

First, let us not insult pond life, some people here would have to climb a few rungs up the evolutionary scale to be classed as such, if one judges by the actual contents of the questions.

Otherwise, depending on if the postings are trully repeated or ask from a different angle, some can be rather painful.
I don't see it as that important. I see it as a place to help people and have a little fun in odd moments.
The main thing is to not take it too seriously.

Whilst I agree that this site is mainly about having fun and trying to help people, it`s people like Pondlife who contribute a lot to this site by the way of asking the amusing questions. Just take a look at how many answers he gets to one of his clever questions. I should imagine this takes some thought and imagination to enable us other users to indulge in some lightheartedness. I think he has a point, he`s right, and applaud and support him. It seems that 90% of other people on here will never have, nor develop his level of intelligence or witticism.

these messages are being posted to protest at yahoo's violations anyone can report abuse and even if the answer or question is within the guidelines it gets deleted by yahoo ,some members have been getting their questions all reported and when you try to fight your corner yahoo never get back to you.
members who have been in answers for a while and have taken the time and effort to help others and ask find themselves with a barred account and if worse lose the yahoo id they have some maybe use this account for private or important emailing .and its through no fault of their own that yahoo bars them.

I don't think it's true that all reported questions are deleted just for fun; I would like to see what kind of questions were posted by the upset users before doing any judgment.

Do not know how to check out what you mean because I do not know how to search for a particular person. It would have helped had you put in the source area, a URL for the two people.

Repeated postings is against Yahoo's TOS.
Those who have a problem with this can report such questions and they will be removed.

To some it is a matter of life or death.... Not me as I've had violations for things I really don't think I deserve them for but haven't we all?
