Sorry if I'm sort of ranting... but I had the rudest experience with a cashier at Costco. I was at the food court and when I went up to order I asked if they had any chocolate sundaes... the man replies with, 'look up at the menu... do you see that up there? do you see cheeseburgers up there? we don't have them.' I was a little bewildered by now, but after I pulled out some money to pay I accidentally gave him $6 when it was 3.85 and he replied with, 'you gave me too much money... you better be careful with your mom's money next time.' I'm 17 and this guy must have been in his 40's. I reply with... 'it's my money' and replies with, 'well the money that your mom gives you isn't your money.' I reply by saying that the money I have is from eBay and he replies with 'I'm surprised you didn't get it by selling your little sister.' That really pissed me off and I just took my food/money and darted off. I was gonna report him, but we had sort of snuck into Costco with my friend's mom's card.

I’m in my early 30’s and recently purchased a cemetery plot. Rather that let it sit there and receive any use from it until I’m dead, I’ll like to partake in some summer activities this coming year. The grounds are kept so nice and the grass is so green, I’d like to sunbathe on it. I’d also like to get outdoors and use it for some stretching, yoga and even cookout on my portable grill. I’ve told a few of my friends about these plans and they state the cemetery may not let me “hang out” there. I disagree – I bought the land and have the paper work to show anyone who may oppose my recreation. So, I guess my question – Is this acceptable? Don’t I have the right to do as I please, as the plot is mine?

I have a huge problem with talking to people. I'm always very nervous and the words tend to come out jumbled and not at all how I meant them. So, it doesn't help that I have no idea if I should make eye contact, or for how long. Would it be impolite to just stare at their face? Or would looking away seem like I'm not listening? I tend to go back and forth, and worry way too much during the conversation about where to look. Please help.

I guess it's the one from the bible, but I'm not religious, so to me it's just a good, common sense principle to live by. I practice it consistently. Is it too simple--too naive--to be accepted and practiced by everybody? Why do YOU think it doesn't work?

Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.

People here are ALWAYS making a big deal out of nothing.
Seriously.

Let's say I was to ask 10 stupid questions.

People would be ALL over me. Telling me to shut up right now, and that I need to grow up and get a life or something. Which is exactly what I would be thinking about them.

(No, I haven't asked any questions that have made people really angry, it is a hypothetical situation. )

I'm just wondering. Why do people get angry enough to start virtual wars?

Personally, I don't think it is a big deal.
I'm just wondering. Some may say it's annoying, but it's not ruining your life, is it?

Most of the people who do that WANT attention. If you were to leave them alone, they would stop.

It just seems really stupid to me that someone would waste their time like that flaming someone who isn't really harming them.

And I know I lost 5 points for that. Damn. Oh well, it's not like I could get anything from points anyway.

Suppose you go to a restaurant that is cafeteria style. The cashier undercharges you for your meal. Is it ok to not say anything?

Now, assume that you go to the same place often and the same cashier undercharges you everyday? Is it morally ok to accept the "discount" everytime?
