Absolutely, people can be too confrontational. There's a reason for the phrase "You'll cath more flies with honey than with vinegar." In most instances, being nice rather than being confrontational will go further in getting what you want. When I've become so angry and confrontational about a situation that I feel like I just want to hit the other person and make the problem go away, that's when I just step away altogether to cool down and figure out exactly what's bothering me, so that I can plan out a nicer approach.

Watch the con-gress on TV or any interview with Nancy Pelosi. This woman is whacked out on crack with Whitney and Bobby or something. She hates like no one else in the world and has an inflated sense of self importance. She is common garbage.

Definately, a little tact, consideration, diplomacy and just plain good taste go an awful long way. Anyone who thinks that he/she can say whatever they want (in the name of honesty) is full of bullsh**t! It is only a license for being cruel!

definitely. theres a huge difference between aggressive and assertive.

ie: if someone came up to you and said .." why did you file those papers? i told you not to and you did it anyway."

that is an example of being assertive. staying calm and making your point.
