Leave. If you can't, why is he horrible? Can you talk to your boss? Say you really want to do a good job and you do not understand why the emails have to be so scathing and copied for the world to see. Is it something you can complain to HR about? Do you have a relationship with one of his peers whom you could ask advice from on how to handle this person. You should not have personal mail at work. Paper mail, keep in your purse/desk. Emails, the company has a right to monitor emails.

It is against most companies policy to allow personal emails at work and they CAN have the computers monitored to make sure that you are not using company time. As far as the rude emails, save them and when you quit take them to L&I so you can still get unemployment.

I'd get my resume up to date and start networking. And--if the "personal mail" is addressed to you and not the company and they open up, see if you can documentit--that is against federal law.
