People here are ALWAYS making a big deal out of nothing.
Seriously.

Let's say I was to ask 10 stupid questions.

People would be ALL over me. Telling me to shut up right now, and that I need to grow up and get a life or something. Which is exactly what I would be thinking about them.

(No, I haven't asked any questions that have made people really angry, it is a hypothetical situation. )

I'm just wondering. Why do people get angry enough to start virtual wars?

Personally, I don't think it is a big deal.
I'm just wondering. Some may say it's annoying, but it's not ruining your life, is it?

Most of the people who do that WANT attention. If you were to leave them alone, they would stop.

It just seems really stupid to me that someone would waste their time like that flaming someone who isn't really harming them.

And I know I lost 5 points for that. Damn. Oh well, it's not like I could get anything from points anyway.

Well personally, I just don't answer questions that I think are a waste of time. I'm genuinely trying to help people out with this. I think it's kind of fun to see what people say, whether I agree with them or not.

However there are definitely some people who SERIOUSLY need to reevaluate how they treat the rest of the world. Would they dare to be so rude to someone who was right in front of them, and if so, WHY?! I admit, someone here periodically presses my buttons pretty well. They are TRYING to do this often enough, so I try to maintain my composure. But I understand it when someone is made angry by, say, a complete disregard of their religion- especially if this was done in a thoughtless and provoking manner.

I swear this is a haven for stupid and insensitive people, sometimes, and THAT is what gets people so mad on here. I do agree that we all need to count to ten and just breathe, sometimes, though.

It's because people get on the computer to blow off steam, and this forum is not really a 2-way discussion. The answerer gets the last word, mostly. There's also a perception of anonymity.

Thankfully, I think most people aren't mean in their answers - except maybe if the question is controversial, and you took a stand.

I wouldn't take it personally.

But seriously, if one more person asks what BMW stands for, I'm gonna...

just kidding.

People just like to be mean. If I see a question that is "stupid", I just hit the home button and forget about it. Like you said it isn't harming me. They want to put it up let them. People shouldn't get all worked up over it. There are enough things in life to get worked up about not reason to make it anymore emotional. I don't know about people.

Usually because if you say something about science or fact, the christians go crazy. If you say something about the war, the liberals go crazy. Just like places like digg.com or slashdot or myspace, the these places are filled with uninformed kids who don't have the experience or respect to engange ina rational debate or in this case answer simple, even seemingly pointless or dumb questions.

Seriously honey I feel that Ignorance makes people really angry,..if we are really informed, we are prepared and know how to react to more things. Impatience is the next,... because most of us are stressed and in a hurry...we do not feel we have time we get frustrated, thus, we get angry, unfortunately we handle things the wrong way.... :) :)

I think the people that get upset over these questions are the ones who have nothing else to do. Once I got pee'd over a question and then got pee'd at myself for getting pee'd!

I don't know, some times it just is too stupid to pass up. I sit here and laugh at my monitor. They *really* bad ones, blatantly racist or the God haters, I just ignore. I just answered an etiquette question about sharing with your dope dealer, it was just stupid and funny.

No worries, you'll get your points back.. and I completely agree with you.
Some people simply aren't happy unless they have some kind of chaos going on in their lives, even if it's on the internet. Poor simple fools.
