I'm a stay at home mom and have all the time in the world for my little one. I even still nurse my son. My in laws and my sister are giving me a hard time, saying that I need to quit nursing. Why should I when I know breastfeeding is perfectly healthy and natural. And I feel that he can nurse as long as he wants. I do what to wheen him off by the time is 3. In just curiosity, what you think when you see a 2 or even 3 year old nursing still?

i cant take him anywhere. he wants to run but we tell him no - he wont hold hands. he throws fits and then lays on the ground. the other night in the store i had to put him in the cart and strap him in because he kept taking off. he threw a fit and grabbed 2 handlefuls of my hair and pulled (he wouldnt let go ) it is very hard for us to take him any where. not to mention at home he get in to everything and wont leave anything alone included the dogs he sits on them. tries to touch there balls and what not. i try timeout but as soon as i walk away he gets up and runs -- we are at wits end -- why is he acting like this ?? he literally trashes the house eevery day . nothing seems to help with him. i dont know what to do -- i am afraid this is just the tip of the iceburg and he is going to get worse.. i love him more then anything i just wish i could get him to behave

My 3 year old is having a rough time with her toddler bed. Now that she can get out, she climbs out in her sleep and then wakes herself up. I've tried putting her back in her bed, that's like 4 times a night and neither one of us is getting any sleep. I tried putting her mattress on the floor but she rolls off of it and wakes up. I'm at my wit's end. Is this a phase? We can't afford a twin bed right now so pls don't suggest that. I just want to know it will end at some point. Thanks

hate having his fingers dirty? for the past few months he always puts his hands out to be cleaned if there is anything on them at all. food, dirt, specks of anything and he won't put his hands down until we clean them off or we tell him to lick them off. If he ever finds any little piece of anything on the floor he always picks it up and takes it to the trash. I rearanged the living room the other day and he was trying to put stuff back to where it was before! Have you heard of toddlers doing this?

My son is 20 months old, he wears size 4 shoes, well the shoes he has now are 3, but I think he's gonna need size 4. I can't find any winter boots in his size. The smallest I can find are size 5. I've found girl's boots but none for boys. I've tried, wal-mart, k-mart, old navy, gap, and payless. Has anyone found baby winter boots anywhere? I really don't want to order them online, my son is kinda hard to fit.

I have been working with my three year old on his color and shapes for a while now and he just doesn't seem to grasp it. I have an 8 year old and a 5 year old that took on to knowing their colors and shapes really quickly.
So I was just wondering if you had any suggestion as to what I could to get, him to be intersted in learning.
Thanks so much!

My 3 year old son was watching SpongeBob or some other show and a commercial came on. I wasn't watching it, but I heard, "Who's SEXY lips are these?" I popped my head around the corner and sure enough it was showing a close-up of one of the girls lips from some Nickelodeon show (or maybe it was Disney, I can't recall).

Anyway, since when is Nickelodeon/Disney talking about someone's "SEXY" lips?

These shows are intended for kids and pre-teens! The last thing they need to be encouraging is sexiness.

My kids aren't allowed to watch that channel anymore after the kindergarten shows go off!

I seriously don't even know what to get my child for Christmas. He has named off a couple of small things but I wanted to get him something big from "Santa Claus". He is so fascinated with those little play kitchen sets, you know the one for little girls. I found one at Wal-Mart but I am so unsure whether or not I should get it. Does it seem right for little boys to play with kitchen stuff and tea sets? That is what I was needing the opinion about. There is one over at his Grandmas house, it is very old and it belonged to both of my older neices. I dont see anything wrong with him playing with one. What do yall think? What it be GAY to buy a little boy a kitchen set if he likes to play with one?

I'm really frustrated. My 18 month old will stick his fingers down his throat when he doesn't want to do something. He does it repeatedly until he vomits.
I try taking his hand away from his mouth but he'll stick it right back in again and start gagging. I say, "NO!" and he laughs and does it again. I take his hand out over and over but he won't stop.

What causes this? I get so angry when I have to clean up up self-induced vomit. Has anyone else had this happen?

I am responsible for buying girls gifts for a Christmas party and have no idea what to buy!! I don’t have a daughter or any nieces to ask. What are you buying for your daughter? What is she interested in? I believe the limit is somewhere between $10-$15 per gift. Please give me some ideas and what ages they are for. Thanks!!

My daughter is 21months old, and is absolutely in love with the christmas tree, but she is having a tough time NOT touching and pulling everything off the tree.

I CAN'T put a fence around the tree. I CAN'T block off the entire room. Any other suggestions?

Thanks!
