My daughter is 18 months and still refuses to give up the early nap. She only takes about 30 min in the morning and then aobut 1 1/2 later in the afternoon. She still wants it so I figure she'll let me know when she's ready to transition.

Hi! My son was 14 months old when he started taking just one nap, but then he caught a nasty cold and started sleeping more, and now he's back to taking 2-3 naps a day again!

My son was about 15 or 16 months old, but it definitely varies. You can't make a child sleep less or more at will.
