start by only offering the breats in the morning when you wake up and in the evening at his bed time, all other times is strictly a cup...since you have avoided the bottle, don't start now. Let him know that you mean business. If you need to, express the milk and place it in the cup for him. Now is a good time to start him on regular milk and juice, try those in the cup first before resorting to putting breast milk in there. He will slowly but surely learn that they are off limits now. This will take some time and he will probably throw fits but stick to your guns.
Best of Luck

Go ahead and transition him to sippy cup. Kids should be off the bottle at a year. The best way to do it is to leave baby with your hubby/mom/whoever is available and up to the job. Leave a sippy with milk (you could even pump breast milk and gradually reduce the breast milk percentage mixed with regular milk). A friend of mine had to go away for the weekend because her daughter did not want to quit. Good luck! I know it can be hard. Your baby will do it eventually especially if you don't give in. Try giving him something tasty in the cup like chocolate milk. It might get him interested.

At this age he shouldn't drink from a bottle anyway. But, if that's what you want then have someone else give him a bottle when you are not in the house. If you're nursing him, he'll expect to nurse and if you're around that's what will come to mind.
Otherwise use a sippy cup, or you could wean him from day feedings and only nurse morning and evening too, you'll still be able to do that for him for a very long time.

Try a sippy cup, either one with a soft spout, or even a straw. I think the Gerber Nuk Learner cup works best for transitioning from breast to cup. This was the only cup my son would drink from, he's 10 months now and has been drinking from a straw cup since he was 9 months.

what are you giving him in his bottle? if its just milk or formula, then try mixing it with expressed breastmilk, so the taste is more to his liking. then decrease the amount of breastmilk in it, until it all formula or milk. Or, if that doesnt work, you could try a sippy cup instead of a bottle. at 13 months, its probably better for him to have the cup than the bottle

Why would you start a 13 month old on a bottle?? Put the liquid in a cup. He is too old for a bottle.

MAYBE IF U TRY MIXING UR BREASTMILK WITH MILK IN A "NUBY" SIPPY CUP IT WILL WORK, THE NIPPLE ON THE SIPPY CUP IS SUPPOSED TO KINDA FEEL LIKE A BOTTLE... I AGREE THO... AT 13 MONTHS... THE BOTTLE SHOULD BE GONE... THE NIGHT OF MY SONS B-DAY I TOOK HIS... AND HE NEVER WANTED IT AGAIN... OR IF THAT DOESNT WORK START GIVING HIM A BOTTLE JUST AT NIGHT.. NO OTHER TIME... AND THEN SLOWLY TAKE IT AWAY... IT MIGHT WORK

He's 13 months? It's time to wean him off breast milk anyway, so don't worry about trying to get him on a bottle. Try to get him to drink out of a sippy cup or a straw and move on to cow's milk. Don't give him anymore breast milk and don't nurse him anymore. He'll learn that he has to drink from the cup, but if you give in and nurse him he'll hold out for you and want nothing to do with the cup. To start out, give him apple juice, grape juice, etc. in the cups as a treat. He'll take to the cups right away. Good luck.
