All my son said until 22 months was Mama, Daddy, kitty, hi and bye-bye. We were about to have him evaluated by a speech therapist when he suddenly started picking up words left and right.
It's really hard not to compare your kid with other people's kids, but you shouldn't do it. All it will do is stress you out. I remember crying my eyes out because my friend's 14 month old little boy said more words than my son, who is 4 months older. Now my son says 2 and 3 word phrases and my friend's little boy is still saying single words. Be patient. All kids learn at their own pace.

I counted when she makes sounds for certain animals, when she answers questions. I didnt count her imitations if she only said it the one time- but she normally continued to say it after she heard it. At this point I have stopped counting...She said about 10 words or so at 12 months, about 20 words at 14 months... but now at 20 months I can't even say... She says well over 100 words, I know that for sure... (just by writing down some of the things she said yesterday I came up with 126 so far- and I am sure I am forgetting a bunch) But that was just yesterday and thats only things I remember. She speaks mostly in sentences now and sings, counts etc.

She didnt say much at that age, jus the basic words like juice, mum, dad, cuddle, stuff like that. Maybe around 30 words.
Around 23 months she had a real spurt and started talking completely in full sentences, like mummy i want some juice, or daddy be home soon.
Now she is 26 months she can say anything she wants to and loves asking questions.

My oldest talked very early and she still want shut up some times lol. But my youngest did not talk untill about 22-24 monhs old not 1 word. Her doc told me to give her time and if she didnt talk by 2 they would have her tested. She eventually started talking and she talks better than most of the other 2 year olds in her class.

First child about 20, second child about 4, third child only had second birthday last week and says about 10. They are all so different and the "normal " range is vast.

My first one was saying 5 or 6. My second was saying about 30, and my third was saying about 16. It varies with every child, so dont judge what your child is doing by what others are.

my first child could only say mum/dad and he has been having speech therapy for 3 years. My 15 month old son however, is a complete parrot who talks for the sake of talking! He copies everything you ask him to say.

my first said about 25 - 30.
my second said like 10 bc he had massive ear infections.
Once he got tubes in his ears, he went up to 45 words in a month at age 25 months.

Quite a few but her language development was pretty early and rapid. She certainly outstripped her sister who only had about 10 words at that age.
