My almost two year old son has had almost 25 ear infections in his life. He now has tubes (since 9 months) and has only had two since then. He hardly ever ran a fever with them and we just noticed them by either him pulling on them or drainage coming out of them. Call the doctor in the morning and see if you can't get him checked out. It may be nothing, but yet better safe than sorry.

My kids have never had a fever with an ear infection. I have always thought that was weird! Could be a sore throat as well. See your Dr.

It does sound like an ear infection. My son has had so many & barely ever has a fever with them...but of course check with the pediatrician.

Well with this behavior it is always good to check up with your pediatrician. My daughter once when she was about 2 1/2 experienced similar symptoms. Since I couldn't be sure of what it was that was bugging her I took her to her doctor who cleared the situation up. It was just an early stage of a minor ear infection. None to worry, just take him in and that should clear things up.

He could be getting his 2 year molars, or he could have a cold with fluid in the ears. You could give him a little tylenol tonight and call the doctor in the morning if he is still cranky.

Just give him Tylenol. He might be getting his molars. But you might want to take him to the doctors just to make sure.
