He may have seen something in his room. My daughter did this and after a few weeks I walked into the kitchen and turned on the light and a huge spider ran across my wall my daughter was freaking out. I asked her if she had see that in her room and she said yes. Once she watched me kill it she was ok to sleep in her room.

When he goes to sleep carry him to his regular bed. Then the next day give him a lecture why he should stay at his own room. But i guess he must be afraid of the dark and maybe the spongebob wallpaper. How about a nightlight mam?

You could try laying down with him until he falls asleep, or move him into his bed after he falls asleep elsewhere. Or, he might just not be ready yet to sleep in his own room. Maybe try again in a few months.

He's 4 years old, I doubt he can stay up all night. Harsh as that sounds, you need to ignore him because he's learned that by crying he will eventually get what he wants-to sleep in your bed. It may take a while but if you let him cry he'll exhaust himself and fall asleep. Eventually he'll learn his own room is OK

As yet somebody else suggested.. he sleeps on your mattress when you consider which you enable him. positioned him in his mattress each and every time he comes into your mattress and tell him no whilst he attempts to get on your mattress. If he won't enable you recognize why then according to threat he in basic terms desires to be close to to the two one in all you yet finally think ofyou've have been given to diminish the apron strings and tension him to grow to be self reliant or he would be snoozing in between the two one in all you.. together with his spouse!

maybe sit with him till he falls asleep but don't interact with him. It sounds like separation problems. As the nights go on move a little further away from him till you are out of the room. If he gets out of bed put him back but don't reward it with attention.

I wish I knew!! Our son will fall asleep in his own bed but then around midnight he's crawling into ours. We can put him back in his and shortly after he'll be back in ours again. Usually we give up in order for all of us to get some rest. I'm confident that he'll grow out of it. (We've tried everything.) Good luck to you!!

Do you leave his bedroom door open? Try that if not already. So he feels that your checking on him.
