It's okay to start introducing honey as well as eggs after 12 months. Just introduce it slowly a little bit at a time to make sure there is no reaction.

I'll have to agree with those that said one year. That's what the doctors I work with recommend. Also, giving your child honey before it's time won't cause a bee allergy, as someone suggested. After one year of age, the child's stomach can handle honey.

My son is 2 and LOVES what we call "Honey Milk." I put about 1/2 - 3/4 tablespoon of honey with milk and heat in the microwave. He loves the warm and sweet drink!

My doctor told me it's best to wait until age 2. My daughter is 2 1/2 and I still haven't given her any. It's just a bunch of sugar so I dont see the point.

I would wait until they were close to 2 years old. They can acquire infant botulism from the honey as their systems cannot handle it when they are younger.

My doc said to wait off on honey. In my family we have a few people that are allergic to bee's. If you introduce things to early they may become allergic to things later. Like honey they many become allergic to bees. Eggs to early they can become allergic to chicken and poultry items. I introduced my daughter to eggs around 1yr and she now is allergic to eggs and poultry. I'd wait til 2 or 3 depending on allergies in the family.
