My funniest (grossest too) Was when my ten month old figured out how to take off her diaper. During an hour nap she managed to paint brown her entire pack and play with tiny hand prints... Don't worry she didn't eat any and we took her to the doctor for check up... she was fine... But it took me three hours to clean her and the mess up!!!

My son turned 2 in October and we have been having trouble disciplining him for some time. Nothing seems to phase him. We have spanked and all that did was teach him to hit. He constantly hits, pinches, screams, head butts, claws, etc.. He will not sit in a chair at all for time-out. We have tried holding him in the chair, but that seems to make it worse. We have tried putting him in his crib for time-out, but he will scream at the top of his lungs for extended periods of time. Last night it was for 30 minutes before my husband finally let me go in and get him. Then when I got him, he only wanted to be held close for about 15 minutes, then he was back at it again. I'm at my wits end. My husband thinks there may be something really wrong with him other than the typical "terrible twos". I have two older kids (12 and 9) and I don't remember them ever being anything like this. Any thoughts???

doctor says virus. he's got a high temperature, very hot hands and he keeps wiggling his fingers (clenching & opening his fists) as though he has pins & needles. his left side of his face is red, he has green puss coming out of the left eye and his nose is running clear. doctor says his ear drum is a bit red and his tonsils also. he's still eating/drinking, nappies normal. he's crying a lot and not sleeping much although he\s quite drowsy. thanks

When I moved out of my boyfriends's house a couple of months ago my son started acting funny about going to sleep in his own crib, we've both been sick and so to make it easier I just keep putting him to sleep in my bed. Now what do I do to break him of that? I NEED my space back fast!!!

Our daughter is turning 2 and we want to start a sticker reward chart with her to teach her responsibility. What are some age appropriate “chores” that we can add to her daily list? Ex. Brush teeth, put toys away etc. And how many should we include for her? We’re thinking that at the end of the week she can use her stickers to “purchase” a special treat (trip out for ice cream, rent a movie, etc.)

I checked our local library's website for story hour. They had a weekly program all winter long that ends March 2nd. I may take her to the last one, at 9:00a.m.; however, I work until 1:00 the night before so we'll see. I also checked our Health and Wellness Center for play groups. All that they have is sports activities for kids starting at age 5. I'm hoping to find something for kids her age to interact as well as their Mommy's. I'm also looking for low-cost or free ideas preferably in the afternoon after her nap due to my work schedule. Any suggestions?

My son is going to be two in March. He likes getting his teeth brushed, but he easily gets impatient. An electric brush would be quicker! I feel my teeth are cleaner with an electric brush (he enjoys watching me brush with my electric brush) as opposed to a manual. Wouldn't it make sense to have one for a two year old for maximum clean? I looked at Target, and they said minimum age to be 3 years. Anyone done this with success?

my little boy is 2 and a half and dad just bought him a bunk-bed to eventually move in to. How old is old enough to sleep in one of those? I'd of course put him on the bottom bunk. We haven't had any problems with him climbing out of the crib, he's liked it but now his baby brother is going to be born in April and we'll need the crib for him. Is my son old enough to transition?
We were also thinking of re-decorating his room to make that a fun incentive..

I have a 5 and a half yr. old little boy, who cries every time I drop him off at school. He's fine up until we get down the hall, then he just cries and clings on to me until his teacher gets him. He has been doing this for 2 weeks now, and it is getting very annoying because 10 minutes after I leave he is fine. I ask him what is wrong and he just says he wants to go home with me and his little brother. I am 5 months pregnant and I think this has something to do with the way he is behaving, because he loved school up until now. He only goes to school on Mondays, wenesdays, and Fridays, but I am so afraid of how its going to be next year when he goes to school everyday for more then just 4 hours a day. Please help!!!!

Every night is the same nightmare. She screams and is seems very afraid. How can I make her enjoy baths again. She used to bathed every evening with her sister and this used to be a fun and pleasant part of our routine. Now it is a crazy part of our routine. I have tried bubble and new toys. Nothing works. Any ideas anyone?
Thanks in advance.

. What could this be? Vision problem? Stress? They are long drawn out blinks, not normal quick ones that we all do. I notice it more when he watches TV yet I know he can see pretty far away. I want to have him seen but wondering if any of you who have kids with glasses had this issue - or if anyone has any idea what it could be. Please help!

When I scold him for hurting our baby or whatever, first he "NO!," then I tell him to not say no and say "yes Mommy" and then he says "Cha cha!" and he's all angry when he says this. What do you think he means!

My son is almost two and a half and I am running out of new ideas to keep him entertained during the day.
We paint, bake cakes, read stories, draw, play, feed the ducks, all of the usual stuff, but he looses interest very quickly, and by the afternoon we have got nothing new left to do.
I try to make each activity last longer and spread them out across the whole day, but after ten minutes he is bored and wants to do something else.
Has anyone got any new/different games and activity ideas that will get his attention for more than ten minutes please. Thankyou

hes been doing good the past 3 days though & big improvement but yesterday he woke up from a nap & we were just sitting on the couch while he woke up & seconds later he went into a crying fit, arching his back, screaming, shaking, we couldnt even hold him we had to let him just flip out!! he did this for a few minutes!! then i just grabbed him & his dad put the tv on & a couple 2-3 mins later he concentrated on the tv in my lap but he was out of it more or so tired from his fit! he never turned blue, his eyes werent rolling around breathing was fine B4 (even though like i said earlier he had just went through horrible wheezing & labored breathing for 2-3 days before this). what could have caused this? someone told me maybe he had a slight acid reflux & thats what was hurtung him. hes never had it before so is this possible? if not what could it have been? it came out of nowhere & went away and he was fine afterwards but again it was scary!! so i know it wasnt a normal tantrum 4 sure!
