She will not fall asleep in her own bed, if she falls asleep and you put her in her own bed, she will come out of her bed. She does not want to sleep alone.

I know I have been freaking out about the bottle and wanting dd off of it.( I just hate the bottles and I don't understand why she will chug water out of a sippy but refuses milk.) I tried to do tough love today by only offering her milk in the sippy, but I caved and gave her the bottle. I know I have to be stronger and quit worrying about it. Also, someone asked me today at a little gym class how old dd was and I said just about 14 months. She said "she is not walking" and looked at her and just goes " oh". I wanted to say ...... you. My pedi. isn't concerned she is not walking yet. She cruises everywhere even stand for a few seconds. my other dd walked at 10 months but that was early. People should keep their comments to themselves. Anyways, wish me luck. I now people say I am the parent and it is my decision to take her off the bottle, but it is easier said than done, I think. She may have to go a day or 2 without milk until she realizes it is only coming from the cup. thanks Debbie

My 2 year old son will not sleep in his own room, he is very content laying under mommy while daddy has a attitude every night. We have near to no alone time at night. It has reached the point that once he is alseep we have to venture off to other parts of the house just to be alone. We actually thought it was cute to cuddle up with the "baby" when he was young, but we did not know that it would lead to this, we were fist time parents. Please help me undo this mistake.

A question specifically for moms who either work for an employer, just from their home office, or those who run their own business:

How to you stay organized and focused with work while attending to your children?

I am expecting our second child late summer and have my toddler daughter in daycare. Two kids in daycare full time is not going to work for us. Frankly I'd like to stay home with her but financially can't- that's another story. So...my employer really values me, that is not a concern for me, and I believe that he would allow me to have a schedule flexible enough to work maybe 2 days in the office and work the rest from home. This would be so ideal! But, I don't feel comfortable proposing this, unless I know that it's realistic to handle between 12-24 hours a week at home while taking care of the kids myself.

Does anyone else do this, and how have you been able to make it work for you?

I just Married a woman who has a 10 yr old daughter who has the worst fear of pets I have ever seen ..It's tramatic to her everytime she gets withing sight of one. for over a yr now I have watched her and her mom fight everytime she gets out of the car if she sees a pet.she screams and cries and hits her mom trying to get back in the car. she won't go outside and make friends because of it ..I told my wife we should take her to see a Dr' maybe and was told no that we couldn't do her that way.that she is oly 10 and will grow out of it.I have seen her sit in the car in the driveway for hrs because she refuses to get out of the car..the school bus driver has had to take her back to school because she refuses to get off the bus if she sees a neighbors cat out in there yard .. what should I do

My baby is almost 2 and I'm still using the monitor so that I can hear her if she wakes up crying. She's been sleeping through the night 99% of the time since she was 5 months old, but there are occasions where she's not feeling so good and will wake up. She's still in a crib, so she can't exactly get up and come get me. My husband and I sleep with a fan on in our bedroom, so I need the monitor, otherwise I wouldn't be able to hear her at all. But, when do I stop using it for good? When she's 18 or what? LOL

I am getting so frustrated! She only wants noodles, rice, raisins, bananas, chicken nuggets, alphabet cookies, crescent breads and sometimes turkey breast sandwich and omelets.
I try to grind veggies such as spinach ,bell peppers, carrots and cook together with the rice.I also make veggie patties with t.v.p (soy meat),and other types of foods and I guess she doesn't like the texture of them, because she stiks her thong out and if it's texture is different than what she is used to eat, she rejects it.
Please help me!

My daughter will be 2 years old on April 3rd. I have heard that you should get a toddler bed when potty training so that they could get out of bed on their own to use the bathroom. Well, she is in the process of being potty trained, but she still isn't dry all night through (we still need to tackle that during the day first). I also don't want her to have the option of running around in her bedroom at night instead of staying in her bed. With a crib, I don't have to worry about that. She could climb out if she really wanted to, but she doesn't ever try (not so far). So, how exactly do parents know when to get a toddler bed?

I have gone thru 11 strollers with my boy and yet to find the best one. I have had the graco quattro tour (4x), the last one i just got rid of because the wheels wore out. I've had 2 graco coachriders (1 new and 1 used which broke)-loved the coach but my son @ 6 mos was too broad shouldered. I have had 2 pegs, but they broke. I just bought the fisher price duo stand n ride stroller but had a safety issue with it and had to be sent back. (i did have a short lived duo glider). I do a lot of walking, and right now I have ordered the peg perego venezia brand new and waiting for it to come but I am wondering if with the price am i getting my moneys worth.

What is the one thing you have done in front of your child that you totally feel bad/embarressed about? When my son was 4, he was learning sign language just for the fun of it. I bought him videotapes as well as children's books on the subject. he was quite proficient and devoted at it. I was proud. Fast forward about 6 months later, we are at a traffic stop, the lady behind me is blowing and tailgating me which ticks me off, my child is in the back in his car seat. He catches me giving the finger to this driver in my rear view mirror and asks me what sign is that mommy? I could literally see him in my mind thumbing through a dictionary of sign language and I felt so bad that my child caught me behaving badly. So what's your story?

Mine refuses mushrooms, houmous or chickpeas, chocolatespread, anything chocolate inside a biscuit, but biscuits with chocolate on top will have her eat the chocolate alone and leave the biscuit? she don't like biscuits other than cheese crackers.
Refuses milk, egg, chicken, cheese. She hates baked beans and childrens pasta tins. And she absolutely hates pizza ...
