My daughter's pediatrician said it's okay after the belly button is healed up (keep their head out of the water), but sunscreen isn't okay until they are 6 months old.

The big thing to look out for if you have a baby that is swimming is an ear infection. I don't believe it matters if there is chlorine or not, and chlorine is definitely safe for them. A lot of places that have pools offer the baby swimming classes too.

really depends on how old the baby is right now. the best time would be when the baby is about a year and a half to two years. plus if possible when they do start to swim in a pool try to either lower the chlorine in take.

Unless the baby has an allergy to Chlorine, there should be no problems swimming in chlorinated pools.
Nearly all water we use is chlorinated now, to cut down and kill the bacterias, this includes the water coming from your taps when you give him/her a bath or cook food with ect.

Sure baby can. We took our son swimming in teh pool on his 1 month birthday. Even took a video to put on his webpage. LOL
Have fun! Just be careful if there are a lot of people in, particularly other children who like to splash and make waves. :)

I put my baby in the pool. She's fine and she was only 5 months. I even put sunscreen on her too. My doctor suggested the sunscreen. I wasn't going to let her go without it. She loved it! Have Fun!

yes, as long as the baby's belly button is healed. watch for signs that the baby is too cold and make sure they don't drink the water.
