My 4 year old neice lost her mommy last year on valentines day. She is a beautiful little girl but she has problems with listening to certain peeople. She will listen to me, but as soon as her nana or papa or daddy come into the picture she acts like she has got them whipped to a point she dont listen. They make her listen but its harder for them than it is for me...why?

It could be that she feels like you are a mother figure to her. Seeing as how she lost her mother not too long ago, she probably feels nurtured by you, so thats why she will listen more easily. Was it your sister that passed away or your brother's wife? If it was your sister, you probably look a lot like her as well, which most likely comforts your niece and makes her feel like a part of her mom is still with her.
