Mine refuses mushrooms, houmous or chickpeas, chocolatespread, anything chocolate inside a biscuit, but biscuits with chocolate on top will have her eat the chocolate alone and leave the biscuit? she don't like biscuits other than cheese crackers.
Refuses milk, egg, chicken, cheese. She hates baked beans and childrens pasta tins. And she absolutely hates pizza ...

Someone mentioned tuna ... any fish from a tin is a no-no but fresh or frozen is no prob. I don't see her as a fussy eater. She loves rice, pasta, potatoes all vegetables, even sprouts and cabbage. Broccoli is a bit yuk but i'm not complaining. She loves soy sausages and quorn and ketchup. She goes on fruit benders where she refuses to eat anything but fruit and yoghourt. And sandwiches can only have butter or lemon juice (?) on them :-)

My son can find and will remove to the side of his plate, the smallest fragment of a slice of cooked onion in the pitch dark. He will of course eat raw onions. He's twenty- two and as such is still a toddler

Sounds familiar! My son is allergic (not intolerant) to egg, soya and dairy, the allergist explained that some allergies create a reaction in the mouth so he feels a prickling sensation when he eats these things. Hence he thinks he's probably reacting to the tomato too.
Some children simply don't like things 'mixed together' so she will eat the chocolate separately, this again can be an association, they had something mixed that contained something they reacted too, but don't know what it was, so won't trust anything mixed.
I'm not saying your little girl is the same, but may be worth thinking about.
Maybe a texture thing - round here there is a 'feeding team' who can really help if this becomes a real problem, you can ask the doctor if she has a really restricted diet. It can be any sticky texture and some children wont tolerate sand under their feet etc.

My little boy is a fussy eater. Somedays he will eat loads of something and the next time he will spit it out. It drives me potty so what I now do, is give him a meal that he has eaten before and if he eats it then he gets a treat like a yoghurt, grapes, apple, biscuit and if he doesnt eat it then he cant have anything else until the next meal. Then he normally eats it all up and gets a treat. I dont let him snack either.

lol....sounds like she just wants to eat her veggies. That's not bad! My son doesn't like beans peas or anything with a skin. He doesn't like spaghetti sauce. Not a fan of chocolate. He loves cheese and noodles with cream of mushroom soup. I guess all kids a different!

i don't have my own kids but i'm a pre-school teacher and i take care of 10 very unique kids. one loves his veggies, one only eats cereals. there's one who removes anything that has a "skin" (from fruits to hotdogs, even chocolate coated bisuits - she peels them off... weird!). one kid only eats fish. he hates anything that is meat. most of the kids love chicken, icecream, and popcorn, though it's surprising how pasta doesn't appeal to them.
