Is this normal behavior? Should it be mentioned to her doctor? It is quite embarrassing. I tell her not to do it, but I always catch her doing it. Please tell me I'm not alone with this.

For those of you who have had kids with constipation and holding it in issues during potty training and used mineral oil. How long should it take for the child to have a bowel movement after taking mineral oil?

My 2 yr.old son doesn't seem to want to talk. We read to him daily and he's in a wonderful daycare where he interacts with other kids. He only says "no" and "da da". He knows what objects are when asked, but gets very frustrated very fast. Our doctor has said to check his hearing and we're meeting with a speech therapist soon.
He also seems to be very aggressive and has a very small attention span.
I'm just wondering if anyone else has had to deal with this? I know he'll be fine, but it is frustrating. Any advice?

He is an only child and was in daycare for 2 years, which I hated! Then, I got to "retire" and stay home with him just after he turned 3. He loves being home, but the other day at the beach he wished on a magic rock "for a friend". He loves other kids, but he says he "wants to stay home with you mom". He's an outgoing, secure child and is very, very boy. I want to go back to work by this fall, but I feel guilty. Any thoughts? Other moms in this predicament?

i have twins and they just turned 3. They hate taking naps now and it takes them so long to fall asleep if they do take a nap. When did you stop putting your kids down for a nap?

Does anybody know the weight or age limit for a Chicco Caddy travel bed or any other Chicco travel cot whose dimensions are around 128 x 81cm? We have an energetic 2-year old who is not yet ready for a bed and sleeps normally in a cot bed at home, which is still fine, but we have several weekends away planned and find he is now too big for the standard travel cot we have. On holiday recently he stayed in a Chicco Caddy travel cot and we noticed the size was better - i.e. longer than ours. We were just wondering if this cot would be suitable for him up to 3 years old, or at least the next few months. If anybody has a Chicco cot and has the instructions etc or knows from their own experience what age and weight it would be safe to let him sleep in this cot for that would be great! We've scoured the net for info but none of the sites give this kind of info.

He's 2 years old and weighs 29 pounds and never shows any signs of trying to climb out - he loves his bed!

Many thanks :)

He has been very good with peeing in his potty for about 2 months already. I have tried bribing him with all sorts and giving him plenty of praise but he waits until I have to put a nappy on him - even if it is all day, then he lets go.

What are some good websites to go to for infants and toddlers to play internet games for free. I had found one through google, but I can't find it any more. My son is two and can't play anything that requires pushing more than one button.

As it says my son is 20 months old and will only eat tins of food for a 7 month old. He will only drink milk NOTHING else. The only other foods he will eat are sandwiches with meat or cheese on them. I'm sure that its not a dislike of textures but more a flavour thing because he will eat spag bol in the 7 month tin but won't eat spag bol that I make.
He won't even eat chocolate or crisps, how unusual is that? Though I'm not complaining about that! I have asked my health visitor and she said to basically starve him and let him go thirsty so then he will have to eat and drink but that I think is just plain cruel. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

My 2 year old daughter whines and cries about everything. She has a great vocabulary but when she wants something like juice or a toy she starts screaming until she gets it. I have no problem giving her these things I'm just tired of the whining. I have tried ignoring her when she whines but that just seems to make the situation worse. I need to know if this is just a phase or if there is something else I can do. Please help!
