Ok so how can I explain this to him? Please help he is not letting this question go.

Tell him its like water but inside you and you cant drink it. You need it to live, and it has things like little boats that carry air to the muscles. Thats the best I can do, good luck.

Blood is a red liquid running inside your body. You need it to live, but you have lots of it so just a little cut is okay. The blood's job is to nourrish your body with oxygen that you breathe in and to protect it from diseases ( red and white cells ). You can compare the cells to " little soldiers"

jjst tell him the truth. tell him blood is some red stuff inside ur body and it should stay inside. then explain that if he gets a 'booboo' the red stuff that comes out is blood. why don't u wanna tell him? i see nothing wrong in wanting to know what blood is. it's good he is interested in the human body,maybe he'll grow up to be a doctor! good luck!

Tell him that your body is made up of many tiny things called cells. Blood carries food and air from the stomach and lungs to the cells so they can live.

Tell him that it is a red kind of water inside our bodies that helps us live. Show him his vains in his wrist and tell him that those little tubes are making his blood go all through his body.

wow your three year old asked mine just told me. he held up his leg one day a couple of months ago and said mommy theres blood. just tell him its the stuff in the dark lines on his skin it helps him live
