My daughter developed a red, itchy, sometimes scaly looking rash just below her belly button. Since we had not changed laundry detergents, bath soaps, etc. my doctor said that she was allergic to the button on her jeans & pants. Some buttons on jeans & pants contain nickel. He gave me some steriod cream to put on it twice a day and watched her closely to see which pants were causing the rash.
Check with your doctor of course, that way the reason can be treated & cured faster! Best of wishes!

There are many different reasons that they may have the rash; it could be a sensitivity to a new brand of laundry detergent, it could be from heat, it could be that maybe he spilt something on himself that he was sensitive to.

If you think it is really bothering him and/or you are really concerned I would take him to see a doctor. When it comes to children I would rather be safe than sorry.

Bring the baby to the pediatrician. Not knowing what it is and giving medicines that may not be for it can worsen it. Hard to diagnose a rash without seeing it.

Take him to the docs and ask for oraped, it is like benadryl only stronger. It should clear up his rash quickly. My daughter has something similar and it has worked wonders for her.
