Ok, first I have to agree with one person. Is he doing it at night?? If he is then ask him if he remembers doing it. If he does then ask him if he just cant make it to the bathroom. If its a problem like not getting there in time. put a potty chair in his room. Might sound gross, but its only for at night. In the morning take it out, and put it in the bathroom. Tell him hes not in trouble but it will help him make it to the potty. Now, if its during the day time and hes doing it on purpose to be funny or stubborn. Sorry to say I would spank him. No, not hit, but spank if you've asked him to stop doing it, because then its now become a matter of defying what you've told him. He is way too old to be doing something like that. He has to learn that it is really gross to pee in his room like that and every time he does it, make him clean it up himself. It wont hurt him to clean up after himself. Trust me, he wont like doing that.

my 6 1/2yr old son is having similar problems and I couldn't find anything else where on the web for advise. He has been doing this off & on since he was about 4. He was potty trained by 18months and is an only child with 2 parents and seems to me no problems. We even had his bladder checked by Docs. He pulls his pants down and just pees in closets, toy boxes, TV stands, lately he even peed on my bed then stoped got off the bed & finished on my floor. See he proves he knows enough to not pee on my bed & he even pulls his pants down. He claims he forgets where the bathroom is or he was just to busy playing/watching TV. This last time he claimed that he was busy w/ TV, so we talked & took cartoons away for 3 days. Boys just like aiming at things with their thingy & "marking" it ; ). Let me know if you find any advice, maybe we can help each other.

When I was a little kid, a friend of my parents had a son who did the same thing. Of course I was a small child also so I have no idea what they did to make him quit. Maybe you could offer rewards for using the toilet and punishment for peeing in the floor on purpose?

Is he sleeping when he does this? My son used to urinate in the closet, in his toy box, on the floor and everywhere else in his sleep. I couldnt figure out why the toy box had a rancid smell of urine in it. Then he urinated
in his clothes basket on the floor. I finally actually caught him doing it. Time fixes everything. Just had to wait it out. He was also a bed wetter until he was about 12 yrs old.

My son is 5 and I still ask him almost every time I seen him if he needs to pee. Perhaps he has a urinary tract infection though now that I think about it.... cats pee in odd places when they do and I know people and cats are different but it may be just the only way he can think to show you that something is wrong. Best wishes

Ok here we go Im fixing to make Lance E very mad....Are you crazy? Spanking the child, give me a break. You make it sound as if you want her to beat the child. Then CPS finds out and you have to deal with, Well why did you hit the child. Remember the Laws have changed at least in Texas. Look it takes paitients but try to just keep explaining to the child that it is wrong. It takes patients being a parent but I promise it will all work out. I know my kid use to do the same thing.

Well everytime he goes on the floor make him walk to the toliet and go again. He will soon realize that there is no reason to pee on the floor if he is trying to avoid walking all the way to the bathroom because he is going to have to go anyway. Make him help you clean it up, such as go get towels and spray the floor with cleaner and stuff (i mean don't be to harsh making him clean, just make him help to show him that it does require work). that should help

Are you serious? You're asking the opinions of a bunch of other kids on Yahoo Answers on how to raise your child?
Give me a break, lady.
If your son pees on the floor, spank his little behind and make it hurt. I guarantee if you do this at the *most* 2 times, he will never pee on the floor again.

I'm with peabody. What is it with you weak-kneed women anyway? Everything has to be negotiated? Paddle his butt and when your thru let your husband put the fear into him, that is unless he has the same affliction as you. It's worked for others and it will work for you. This from a 68 yr. old who hasn't peed in his room in years.
