I don't know what everything is, but when he tells you, reward him.

By 3 it ought to be pretty easy. Is he maybe too busy playing that he forgets.
Keep asking him and putting him on the potty, tell him what a big boy he is.
Promise him a big boy bike when he starts going himself.
In the meantime, reward the little success with m&ms or stickers or something.

I just did this. It took nine months total approximately. The biggest thing is just don't give up. You're in it now and have to move forward. He will get it, it's something he must do on his own. Keep a big beach towel with a potty in the living room. Make a huge deal when he does go and try rewards, ie chuck e cheese. That's what I did and now I have a potty trained three year old boy!

We bribed my son (and daughter) with M&M's. First, they got one just for sitting on the potty. Then when they got the hang of it, they got one for pee and a handful if they pooped.

My son took forever to train because if he was engrossed in what he was doing, he would just go where-ever he was. We put the potty on a plastic mat in the middle of the family room to help remind him to go while he was watching TV.

You might want to do a sticker chart, rewarding him with a sticker for each day or half-day that he stays dry. When he gets a certain number of stickers he can have a treat or small toy.

Hang in there and try not to stress to much, it'll happen!

Send him to hang out with cousins or friends that are potty trained and start a conversation about how only babies wear diapers. Boys are really hard to train, my son was 3 1/2, but after a couple days with his cousins, it's like he never wasn't potty trained...and trust me, we tried everything!!!!!

Go naked for as long as it takes. Every time he starts run him to the potty. He'll eventually get the drift. Bribe him with toys, treats, good deeds on a chart (when he gets 5 or so, get him a new toy), movie privileges, trip to the zoo, etc. Don't do any kind of pull ups or anything, I think they just confuse them.

Good luck!

Have you tried letting him go the whole day without any diapers or pullups? This helped me with my now 8 yrs old. The uncomfortable wet or soiled underwear feeling helped to train faster. She never liked the feeling of being wet. I do not recommend using pullups because they are just like diapers. use regular cotton underwear. U will have a mess to clean up but he will get the idea sooner than he would with pullups.

How often does he wee?
I suggest you to have to take him to the toilet before he pees in his pants.
After he is used to that, ask him if he wants to go to the toilet.. let him pull off his own pants.. and after wee wee.. let him do the flushing also put on his pants by himself... the purpose of this is that he could have his own responsibility..

Hang in there. My boys were three and a half, they finally just got it, it was not that hard. Keep reminding him.Let him pick out his own underwear that he can only wear after being dry for a certain period of time.
