He will be 4 in September and this is rediculous! I have tried stickers and all and he still will not tell me when he has to go. He even held his poop in one time, and was crying from the pain because he would not let it out in the potty (this is a potty seat, not a big toilet, although I have tried the big toilet and it makes no difference). I finally took him off the potty and put him in the shower because some of the poop had seeped out while he was trying to hold it. He ended up letting it all out in the shower instead. I'm not trying to be gross, I just need help!

I am going crazy! Every other kid I know wakes up in a good mood. He sleeps for 1 1/2-2 hrs, wakes up and throws a fit for an hour when he wakes up, and this happens 2-3 times a week. I have offered him something to drink, a toy, even cookies. I try to pick him up and he writhes in anger. I put him back in his crib, and he yells louder. He doesn't seem in pain. He just IS one. Any advice would be welcome.

My 14 month old son is going through a stage of being a brat. He screams, slaps, bites, throws himself down, and isnt very nice to other kids. I can't find a way of disciplining him because he is so young and it's driving me crazy. I am also 5 months pregnant and am wondering if he is going to get jealous and act this way when the baby comes. Has any one went through this and how did it end up?

Baby (15 mo) will drink milk and eat most hard carbs (crackers, cereal, cookies, goldfish). Also just variations of banana baby food, but that's about it.

She has sliding closet doors that she recently learned to open. I did all the laundry yesterday and hung up all her clothes. She shares the closet with her sister due in september, she pulled down all her clothes and the baby's clothes. I am 33 weeks pregnant and barely have the energy to do the housework once muchless twice. Also, what can I do (that is safe) for more energy?

My 2 1/2 year old will pee on the potty all by herself, wipe and even wash her hands with no help whatsoever. But no matter what I do she will not poop on the potty. Has anyone else had this problem? What worked for you? I'm so tired of cleaning poop out of panties.

I really don't see any difference between Montessori and "play-based" pre-schools in my area. The Montessori schools, however, say there are some critical learning opportunities that are lost if a three year old doesn't start Montessori at that age. I tend to think that is a bunch of crap and just a way to play to some parents elitism or fears but.... What experiences have other parents had?

A couple weeks ago my 10 month old started to reject his baby food which he use to love. I was feeding him 2 jars of baby food per sitting and he would eat every bit of it. I heard that when your baby does this that it's time to start table foods. He has 6 teeth and chews very well. I've given him graham crackers, goldfish, and hot dogs all of which he loves. This is my first child and I don't know what else I should try to give him. Moms and Dads, what did you start giving your baby when you started table foods? I need some suggestions! Thanks

At what age do you believe a child is too old to be riding in a stroller? Although I understand in certain situations it's a blessing,i.e. the airport, the zoo,if you want to jog but have no one to babysit.

But I have seen parents of children use a stroller to walk a block and half to the park when their children are notably older than three. My three year old refuses to ride in a stroller, and although sometimes it wears us both out, I'm glad he gets the exercise, chance to explore, and just gain a little independence in general. What are your thoughts on toddlers/pre-schoolers ( and in some cases 5 and up!) in strollers?

My 5 yr old seams to be completely obsessed with death. Every time we hear a song on the radio that mentions soldiers dying or we drive past a cemetary she puts her hands over her ears and starts humming. Is this normal for her age? I've tried to talk to her about it but she doesn't want to talk when I mention anything about it. She says she's scared that I'm going to die. and wants to know when I will die and when she will die. No one in our family or people we no have died either. I don't know what to do about it besides hope she'll just grow out of it. Any suggestions?

My sensitive skinned son breaks out in a rash from the tags in the back of toddler underwear. He wears a 2T-3T underwear size, but all tagless brands don't seem to start until the 4-6 size. We've tried to fold the waistband over which doesn't work for long. We've tried picking the tags out of the regular underwear, but the waistband unravels. Has anyone seen or does anyone know of a brand...(I'm willing to pay extra if necessary)...that has tagless boys underwear in the toddler sizes???

She doesn't like it when I go the gym, because she wants me around more, she complains to other people that the baby cries too much and takes up too much time, and she draws family pictures with the baby missing. I try to spend time with her, but the baby takes a lot of time. My husband spends a lot of time with her, so I can take care of the baby, but that does not seem to help. Will this go away?

Hi everyone, my 2 1/2 year old is sounding horse. We have had the air on due to the 100 degree weather. Because he is the youngest and very sensitive, he cries more than than my 4 year old daughter. The horseness seems to escalate after crying. Does he sound sick? He has no temp and is running around fine. Thanks in advance!

It's not too serious, just a little bit of blood, so I don't feel the need to take him to a doctor or anything. But, it's really bothering him. What should I do to help him with the pain?

I hate to pop a baby butt for hitting. Seems a weird message. Laughs at "naughty chair" or time-outs.
