My boys, ages 6 and 8, have lately been refusing to shower in the morning and throwing fits about it. They have to shower in the morning because they are bedwetters and I don't want them to smell like pee.

This morning I had to literally throw my youngest in the shower. How can i get them to shower in the morning and not fight it?

Ok her I go.....We have a little girl 3 years ago but I kicked him out because he cheated on me and couldn't keep a job...etc..And I got with this other guy when she was two months old.And we are currently still together. And that was back in 2005....He has seen her once and that was before she turned 1.We have talked but that was back in 2006 but then I moved changed my number etc...But the other day he some how got my number and called me up wanting to know how his daughter was..He was in jail for about a year or so for not paying child support..Let me tell you he has kids...more than the average joe..The guy that I am with now dont think that i should let him see her because he thinks he's worthless. And that he hasen't before there for her.I just think that he will leave again and this time it will hurt her because she is older. What do I do??

I have to work until 4:30 tomorrow and my children (ages 5 (almost 6) and 8) get out of school at 3. I live in a secure building so there is no worries about anyone getting in. They would go into the apartment and stay there until I get there. I have left them before for short periods of time, but never this long. I was staying home by myself at this age. Just wanted some opinions on this. Thanks.

We have a 13 month old baby girl who is as hyper as they come.My In laws want to treat us to a holiday in May abroad. We were excited but then decided it would be best not to go. My hubby hates flying, I've never flown so am nervous, the resort is more for couples with not a lot for kids to do.Its also very rocky with hundreds of steps to get anywhere & no sandy beach. We've put our reasons forward & the whole family thinks its a cop out. They don't realise how active our girl is as they have her only a few hours a week & say she's an angel. She is an angel but those of you with toddlers will know what a handful they are.
We planned to go on holiday in this country which would be filled with day trips & lots for her to do.They say this country is cold & miserable, but they don't see it the way we do.
We've offered they come with us but they're are determined to change our minds.
Are we being unresonable?

Most people I know have well behaved and well mannered kids, but I do know a couple of people who have heathens for children and it drives me nuts -- especially when they come to my home. I typically won't voice my concerns or expectations unless things really get out of hand, but here are some of my expectations:

- No standing, crawling or laying on the furniture (unless it's a bed).

- No eating or drinking throughout the house. That should only be allowed in the kitchen.

- Wash their hands before and after eating.

- No running or jumping in the house.

- No opening closed bedroom doors or going in the refrigerator without asking.

- Do not mess with ANYTHING that doesn't belong to them.

My husband's eight year old niece can be a busy body and has violated ALL of these things. I don't want to hurt her feelings or my inlaw's so I try to be nice when I ask her to behave. The weird thing is that nobody says anything to her. My husband gets offended ...

i have a 19 month old son and i am currently living at home with my parents. his father hasnt really tried to see him very much in the past but now that he has started coming around more and more my son seems so distant from him. its weird because when his dad used to come once or twice a week and see him for only 15 min my son was in love with him, but now that he comes almost every day i notice that my little boy cant stand to be around him. when he tries to hold him he kicks and screams and then calms down as soon as he is put down.
so my questions are:
why does it seem that the more his father comes around, the more he hates him? and...
is there somethin i can do to strengthen thier father/son bond? because his father is really trying

The options are pee-wee soft ball, basketball, or soccor. I'm not a sportsy type and have never played any. Ultimatly, I'm going to let her choose, but do you have any experiences in any with you or your kids. Would one be better than the other?
