My dear mother is getting candles for Christmas. We are financially tapped this year with medical bills and school tuition. We put what extra money we had toward our kids and making this a special Christmas for them. They are 3&2, finally old enough to enjoy this magical time.
We will start saving for Christmas earlier next year so we won't have to leave anyone out. But we are thankfull for what we have and for being able to provide a joyous Christmas for our little family of four.
Merry Christmas!

I got her an Estee Lauder perfume set--which I get her every year. I also got her a silver necklace with a green pendant. Super cute! My dad and I also bought web-cams [for their house and ours] so we're going to surprise her on Christmas day and be on the computer to have a chat. We live very far from home and my mom misses us dearly--as I miss her too. That's about it. I would have loved to get her more but that means getting everyone else in my entire family more. Too expensive!

I've got something very special for her. Her favorite song is "Mary, Did You Know" and I'm having the local radio station play it for her on Christmas Eve. Her present is a CD of her favorite music, wrapped in a small box. That small box is put in another box and is covered with her favorite candies. The bigger box is put into an even bigger box, again full of her favorite candies.

My mom just had a baby last month so I bought her a cute picture frame that has a baby duck on it with spots for 3 pictures.

I'm going to get my mom a prepaid or pay-as-you-go phone...she would literally never use, but I would like her to have it for emergencies or car trouble since she is older than 50...she's not really big on technology, but I know she will like to have it and I will feel better that she has one...

A digital picture frame all loaded up with tons of pictures of our baby. She is a proud Grandma and I thought this would be the perfect thing for her!
