I don't want my girl's name is too popular, has religious means, too strange, hard to pronounce or be joked by others.

I am 15 yr. old. and 2 months ago I let my ex-bf come over to my house w/o my parent permission (he is 15 too)ans my mother came home early from work and found him over here while we was here. My brother was here too. (he is 6). I am a good girl. I am not dumb or easy girl. I will let a guy pressure me to do something that isnt safe or that will hurt me now and the future.I am a virgin. While he was here, we didnt do anything but hang out and chill. He waas playing w/ my lil bro the whole time. but what could u really do in front of a 6 yr. old. He would tell on me anyways. But now my family treats me differently.& I am like on punishment for ever. Like it wasnt worth it. I just let him come over b/c it was summer time and i wouldnt never see him anyways. Like why dot they treat me like this. Like I am soo kind of slut of something. Would ou act this way if ur kids did this.

Okay this is for everyone with Children. Please answer each question.

1. Do you spank or whip your child?
2. How old is your child?
3. Do you consider your child to be well-behaved?

Please be honest with each question. I really would like to know the views on the matter. Any other details are welcome.

Personally i was "whipped" as a child, i do believe that my mom was alittle extreme when it came to discipline, but i know for a fact that she got that way because of her parents, my uncles are the same way.

Although I turned out okay some of my siblings carried that same "violent" behavior into their lives and now the ones in my family that have children are, in my opionion, extreme in their discipline as well, even though we all hated the way we were treated.

I do not believe in "whipping" a child, but i do think "spanking" is okay. I believe there is a difference between the two.

Let's say a 2-4 yr. old child isn't misbehaving (i.e. - s/he isn't running around causing trouble or s/he isn't doing anything bad), but when you tell him/her to do something, such as "pick up the toys" or "go outside to the living room", they don't listen. What should a parent do about this?

Do you still use the "naughty spot" or "naughty chair" method?

*Additional details (optional read)

I don't believe in spanking because my parents used to physically "discipline" me, but when I got old enough to endure the physical punishment, I stopped listening to them. I don't want my kids to be the same way. I want my kids to respect me rather than to fear me.

I am a mother of a two fabulous children, aged 6 months and 3 years. Whew, these are tough times! Can anyone tell me when I am going to feel a bit above water? I used to think one child was a handful, now that seems like a breeze. I just feel like there is never enough times, and I need at least 4 more hands.

I was reading this article on Y! and just had a though and wanted to see if anyone agrees....

Why do these "healthy kids" activists always go after fast food companies but you never hear about them confronting TV or video game makers. Are kids really getting too much fast food or not enough exercise??
I feel it's a mixture of both. I think the fast food that their mom has to pick up on her way home from work wouldn't be so harmful if kids (and adults for that matter) got some exercise instead of spending all day in front of the TV or game system.

What do you think??

I hear many differing opinions regarding the trend of young girls wearing shorts with writing across the @ss--writing like "obey," "flirt," "follow," "sexy," etc.--some also have the names of schools and organizations. Obviously, having writing anywhere on your clothes brings attention. Is this a harmless fashion statement, or is there more to it? What do you think clothing manufacturers were thinking when they decided to make the clothing?

My concern is how is an 8 yr old capable of coming up with something like this. What action do you think I should take. I don't want my daughter to live in fear of her, besides they catch the same school bus and go the same school.

Here the deal..My sister is 40 and Bi-polar she is getting out of prison this week (for meth related) My mother keeps suggesting that my sister could help me out by watching my 18month old girl. I am definatly not comfortable with this. I dont mind if she comes over and helps while I take a shower or mow my yard those kind of things. My husband can not stand my sister and dosent even want her in our home...My mother insists she has changed. I'm stuck in the middle and can see both points of veiws. In the past whenever she stops taking her meds. she seems to turn to drugs. She is really good with children and they adore her. What would you do if you were in my shoes?? I want to keep the peace with all involved and that never seems to happen.

My daddy is sending me to a STRICT boarding school, against my will. I am DISGUSTED as my expectation was that he would be sending me somewhere posh and much more prestigious. Rather this school appears to be designed to BREAK MY SPIRIT. Further there are no boys, and we must wear uniforms, take ROTC and have roommates. The school also warned me I better not give them any trouble OR ELSE. My daddy said if he gets a call that I am SCREWING AROUND and has to come out there (it's like 600 miles), that I can count on getting "ONE HECK OF AN $SS BEATING." My daddy said I had my chance and BLEW IT, and this will teach me NOT TO BE SO SPOILED. I don't think so!

I have to work the rest of this week and then I only get a few days of freedom. I also need to break up with my boyfriend, which should not be too hard as he only loved me for pleasure

I will miss my friends so much and the once spoiled carefree life I leave behind. How can I get the most out of my final 10 days???

I'm 23 with a college degree, & my baby nephew threw up on me & I cleaned it off & changed my shirt, & my former foster sister said, "How are you ever gonna have kids? You shouldn't eve have kids at all!"

I suffer Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder & they know that. So just because I have OCD & have to clean everything, does that make me not fit to have kids or is she being judgmental?

I am a young mother of 2 and have decided to go on birth control to prevent anymore children and focus on my 2 little ones for now. I decided to take MIRENA and iud. that is hormonal and it prevents pregnancy for up to 5 years. I talked to my doc. before puting it in. Its been about 3 weeks since and now im going crazy!!! I have the worst possible mood changes!! Out of nowhere and for nothing I start crying and I snap at my hubb. I scream at my kids, and then feel like stabbing myself for it. I have also expirienced nausea. I know that these side effects are normal. but I cant live like this until the 5 years are over and I can take my Mirena out. I need help to learn how to cope with my sideeffects. Cause its harming my whole family. Need good advice!!THanKS!!!! for reading

ok my mother is starting to say that i'm not raising my daughter correctly and is trying to tell me to raise her differntly. she's saying that i shouldn't let her act in plays that are NOT associated with school and is also saying that i shouldn't let her dress in a 2 piece because it shows to much. and she's also saying that i should let her watch shows like drake and josh because drake is always hitting on girls which she finds inappropriate and that she also shouldn't be watching the show called "naruto" i mean it's also not my favorite show but i don't find it as inappropriate as robot chicken or family guy. and she's also saying i'm doing alot of other things wrong and it's because that i don't live with her anymore. what should i do??

My daughter will be 9 next month and when I get with my husband she was 3 months old. We have never told her that she was adopted by him, but in the last few weeks this lady that we know has mentioned it to her a few times. Now she hasn't questioned us about it, but I feel we should tell her before she hears it from someone else. My husband is upset that I want to tell her because he said he sees her as his own child and doesnt want to tell her. I've made the decision to tell her and I just dont know how to go about doing it. Has anyone had any situations like this or did this happen to you and how did you handle it.

My reasoning for telling her is that if she does find out from someone else I think it'll be better she hears it from us and with her being so young I dont think it'll affect as much if she was in her teens.
